If your wife wants a divorce over body damage to your truck, you've got considerably bigger issues than body damage to your truck.

    --

Also, don't do stupid shit and don't damage your truck.

Rock sliders would be a good investment. I bought side steps for my 5 year old and went out with 500 miles on the truck. Went down a drop that was a little bigger than I thought. Luckily the step didn’t get in to the cab, but at that point I knew I should have got sliders and not side steps. That being said, my wife would just call me a dumbass, not come anywhere near divorcing me. Haha!!

    1. Get a divorce before you go Off Roading.
    2. You could get the wife a vehicle she can take Off Road.
    3. Another option would be take her off roading with you as a spotter, then when you f up you can blame her, which would still lead to divorce. That brings us back to the first option.

I am mostly joking about the divorce part. We bought a 2019 about a month ago and I'd reeeeeally like to see what it can do, but I don't want to screw up the body on a truck with less than 1k miles.

Also, my wife would kill me.

I agree with other that have said that if your wife will divorce you over body damage to the truck, you've got bigger issues to deal with.

That said, the body armor is a good way to go if you have the money, but if not, stick to fire roads.

I did it to a new subaru in 2014, but we were still dating.

I learned the only real enemy is branches.

For fucks sakes, if the trail has branches turn around! They are not gentle to paint!

    Everything else is common sense.

If you don't want to risk scratching/denting your truck, don't go off road.

Step 1. Go off-roading. Not just a short trip but a really long excursion out in the middle of no where.

Step 2. Ditch wife and drive home.
