8EDE8B29-C5C5-4715-B003-F06FD765A547.jpg What is this hole in the dash with the plug...brake controller?...(dirty minds need not respond)! A dealer in Upstate NY wants $32+k for this 30,000 mile 2016 TRD OR truck. They say it is a Sport. Price is outrageous. No Toyota Certified warranty either. Would have to be a moron to buy this?

I question a dealer showing pictures of incomplete vehicles.
There is no doubt an intelligent reason.
But they should have commented that parts were on order at least!

32k huh,...thats like $50k Canadian right now,...for the same money you could get a new 2019 here in Canada.
    Walk away,..was a good decision...

That is a common place to put a P3 brake controller with a custom mount from someone this site. And they can ask whatever they want to (free market) but it's only worth wht someone will pay.

Floor mats and bed are filthy. Agreed ask whatever you want. They will find a buyer in a weird situation trading or bad credit and do fine. Just was not sure what that hole was and the price seemed high given NO decent warranty.

I just traded in a 2017 TRD OR with 20,000 miles on it and got 32,000.00 trade in. I bought a TRD Pro. 32 for a 2016 is about normal. Look at Autotrader. That’s what they are selling for.

That's insane! I'll sell my 2017 MT for 35k tomorrow if someone wants it. Only has 16k on the clock!

    Is this the car? https://www.foggsauto.com/VehicleDe...6-Toyota-Tacoma-4WD-Double-Cab-TRD-Sport-Auto

Defiantly an OR. The dealership probably just doesn’t know or the VIN decoder they used got it wrong. That or they want to use the sport book value, which I think tends to be a bit higher...

The truck is only worth what someone is willing to pay and what they are willing to sell it for.

Don't judge. Just because you won't pay it does not mean that truck is not someone's dream truck and they will gladly pay it.

Wow! She's a beauty... That's truly badass man. If I could afford a Pro I'd dang sure have one. I'm slowly patterning my TRDOR after the Pro's exterior. A work in progress.... Congrats!!

That’s what I did with my TRD OR that I traded in. I had the TRD Pro Exhaust, Grill, Shift knob, Air intake etc.....

This is the truck I traded in.

Here's mine with the grill and skid plate and a front level kit. I like the 2018 Pro wheels but for now my stock ones blacked out work for me. Considering heavily on de-badging...Next big purchase will be tires and maybe (in time) hood with skewp!!

I ended up buying new because everything that was a CPO Toyota stupidly over priced.

I payed 10k less out the door for a 17 TRD off-road than the 2014 TX PRO I was looking at that had 50k miles

Price aside, the brake control would concern me. It sounds like it was used as a tow vehicle and if they needed a brake control it wasn't like they were pulling around something light.
