Let's just call it my 401K.

For $70 you get a "cool" call sign from the FCC. I'll need to be refered to as WhiskeyRogerCharlieJuliet768 from now on.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Probably maybe might make it Saturday during the day. I have to go down to SA Sunday morning to test for my paramedic license.

A little something every chance we get.
Did you know? If you have the KXAN weather app on your phone, you can select LOCATION, Marble Falls, then slide the little marker icon RIGHT OVER HF Park? You can! It's true. I would not put a lot into what you see until you really get to seven day out. I'm looking for the cool NOAA app as well. Cold is OK. Some damp is OK. I think it's just going to be mostly cold~!

No ham license just a gmrs license.
I'll should be there thursday also. What time are you planning on getting there? I'm stil trying to lock down a way to stay untill sunday so I dont have to leave saturday morning.
    I have the license also!
I have 2 of those and can loan 1 to someone while i'm there. They seem to work decently well the 1 time I've used them. I need to get my other one installed so I dont have to use the hand helds in my truck.

The NOAA Phone App is not appreciably better, and full of more ads. Never mind. On your computer, NOAA is a must!

If you want to legit weather radar, get radarscope. It's pulling info from the same dopplers the weather people are .

It's not a cheap app, but it's worth it

If you are seriously out there, probably worth it. Was just trying to put a better "forecast" ability out there. KXAN with multiple locations was pretty good at getting us up to Michigan and back, and missing all the "big storm" Bruce!:rofl:

Really sucks your not coming. I’ve been wanting to meet you. I’ve heard we wheel kinda the same. Heard your damage is more severe but something tells me if I keep rolling with @CedarPark it won’t be long. Lol:cheers:

The crew I wheel with outside of @CedarPark goes hard and they're the ones who taught me to wheel so the learning curve was nuts. When we met him he instantly fit in and he actually spent his 2nd day knowing us helping us recover my friend's 17 TRD Pro Runner that had rolled and burned. He's definitely a good dude and I like wheeling with him.

My Runner has definitely got some damage from trees I rubbed trying not to go over and holy jesus the pinstripes. I bent my rear bumper at Barnwell about a month ago and my boyfriend flipped his 86 Runner as well. You just never know what happens when we go out.

If I can make it out I will because I would love to meet/see everyone and get away for a weekend. For me it's going to be a last minute decision as I've got tons of stuff going on as well as 2 different toys for tots events that weekend. Not enough time in the day to do it all!!!

I did 20 degree sleeping weekend before last and it sucked... so 35 is looking nice!

But I will also have a nice new Rumpl blanket to throw on top of me as well!

Super simple to setup on the radios, and I found a great youtube video on setting them up on the Baofeng radios manually since I don't have the programming cable for them yet.

Nope, you just need the GMRS license, and a bunch of us of them....

I have the MXT-275 and their 6DB Gain Antenna mounted on the front bumper.
I also have two Baofeng handhelds that will work on GMRS as well and I have a sheet printed off for all the different GMRS frequencies that I keep in the truck, but I usually stay on 16.

I have two Baofeng handhelds a 5W and a 8W, you can borrow one if you want as long as I get it back!
