    Bought mine end of last year (DCSB). Also a first truck, first trd, first 4x4- off road. Also a no-mods vow, and I held out for most of a year. Last week I drilled the first holes in it - to finish Toyota’s engineering and add a (custom, not pnl ) power tailgate lock. Buying parts and doing engineering for flat tow mods - a substantial project with some well-known risks. So far, it looks very friendly to this crazy modder. I’ll post photos or video when “done”.
    I’ve looked at ECU mods to linearize the dead spot in the throttle curve, too, but still hoping I can negotiate dealer subsidy on that one.
    Etc. Etc. Once you cross the line there’s no going back, I guess.
