I just picked up 17” SCS wheels from a friends with KO2s that are about fried.

I want to update my tires to 285s or 305s preferably 285/70/17, does anyone on the stock suspension height of an Off Road run 285s with cutting?

Gonna be tough to fit 305s without a lift. 285s maybe but haven't seen it.

Here's what I had to cut with my 2.5 inch lift:

Cab mount (in your case, probably need to cut well into the hole) - make sure you cut as far back as possible lol
Fender plastic (front and rear of front tires)
    Pinch weld (hammer that down)
Front bumper (will need to trim a lot)

Basically, keep cutting until it doesn't rub anymore

Regardless if it fits or not, they will be rubbing all over the place when you take them off pavement ... probably best to stick to mall crawling. Always drive straight, avoid braking hard, drive over humps like lowered vehicles and make sure not to have more than 1 passenger at all times ..... lol jk

    Good luck!

In all seriousness, you're going to have to cut alot. I got 285's in mine with a 2.5" lift and no CMC

Curious about this too, looking into getting new tires but have height restrictions in the garage that don't really allow a lift and bigger tires. Was thinking of doing 285/70/17 with a CMC if that would work?

That definitely is up there as one of my favorite memes.

But yeah I figured this wouldn’t be optimal, to try and go no lift and just do CMC. Looks like I’m just burning these old BFGs and throwing on the OME 3” lift once they’re toast

Will probably have to start cutting pizza if I wanna run a true 33

Id just slap some 5100's on there if I were you. Cheap and Functional. I only rub full lock in reverse.
