    My rebuild thread here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-rebuild-thread.567833/

I believe I have enough stuff put back together to get this running, but it wont start...

    I have trouble codes:

    P0010 "A" Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit/Open Bank 1
    P0013 "B Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit/Open Bank 1
    P0123 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit High
    P2135 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A"/"B" Voltage Correlation

I have no spark, and I believe I'm getting no gas. I would assume from one of the above codes. Maybe the front collision damaged some of these sensors? maybe some of my wire repairs are not working so well (most of them done at the plug taking it apart)?

Where do I start?? Any help greatly appreciated!

Here are a handful of images of what is not yet plugged in. Most should be front lighting, some idk..

    Driver side Headlamp wires assumed...

Passenger side headlamp wires assumed and one unknown plug circled in red..
    IMG_20181129_182745924.jpg

Don't know exactly what these are for yet.. horn and some other things?
    IMG_20181129_183158753.jpg

Fog lights wires, but idk where they stripped out of or if I'm missing a plug at the one end?
    IMG_20181129_182648492.jpg

Unknown plug behind air box with single very large metal spade/IMG_20181129_182527876.jpg

Unknown plug near back passenger side of engine bay.

Have you checked fuses under hood and inside the cab yet, and is there any damage to the cam solenoids or wiring? You probably have a break in a wire somewhere.

For the throttle, it sounds like a bad pedal. They use two sensors, one with a voltage double the other sensor. They use that as a backup. If the voltages don't make sense, you usually get those codes.

Can't help much with the cam codes, I'd double check connections and make sure you don't have a plug plugged in wrong

Oh and even with a voltage that doesn't make sense, the truck should still run. Unless both sensors failed. Again, do you have them plugged in correctly? (I have no idea if they use the same plug for both sensors)

Is it a push button switch and does the engine crank?

One of the problems is that Toyota uses to many unused plugs. Even a perfectly built truck will have several unused wires. Going to be a pain to figure it out on a wrecked one.

Can someone take some pics of the connectors/wires on their truck related to the cams for this guy?

Correct assumption! One of the plugs goes into a little grey box, says Toyota Denso 89747-0R020. Maybe the temp probe for the truck? It has two wires into it.

I think the white and yellow stripped plugs on the left go to the marker light, which is the plug closest to the side of the truck.

Unknown plug is also unplugged on my SR5. More in a minute..

    Left to right...
Left two plugs have little sensors and are just anchored to the chassis. Top two are to the two horns. The bottom one on the right with a white and green wire goes to the passenger side foglight.

Your harness for foglights isn't detailed enough for me to tell what's going on. :)

Ehhh I think this the same plug. It's not plugged in on mine:

    Also unplugged on mine.

Checked fuses, turns over and doesn't even try to start. Not a push button start. Thank you thank you thank you synaps3!

I'm thinking some wires are going to have to be tested because as I suspected none of the open plugs would keep it from starting..

There's tons of damage on top of the engine. Did you replace sensors when you replaced that cover or just rewire them?

The Taco has VVT-iW, with 2 intake camshafts and 2 exhaust camshafts. They're attached on this side of the motor basically where the red circles are below, then across.

    Untitled.jpg

Those aren't the actual cam position sensors though, you need to go further back for those...

    Capture.jpg

The VVT sensors all track where the cam's at, so you need to check all 4.

In all honesty with that cover smashed, I'd double-check your timing too. It could have slipped in the impact, even if the chain was tensioned well when you replaced the cover.
