Hi everyone, I posted this question in the main forum, then found this thread. Hope it's OK to post this question here as well.
Hello all, I own a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO double cab short bed pickup in the Inferno Orange paint color that we purchased new.
Since purchase, I have been trying to learn what the final production figures are for this limited production model. ** I have found the numbers for the Tundra TRD PRO model online in a forum, but can not find them for my Tacoma TRD PRO.
*** I would like to know how many 2015 TRD PRO model Tacoma's were made overall (in the San Antonio facility), and specifically, how that figure breaks down by color (black, white, & orange), & sub-model (DCSB, Extended Cab, etc.).***
As the trucks were being released in 2015, the numbers for production were reported as an estimated 1000-1500 units in total for the three colors being made in, but I have yet to find the final numbers.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Thank You in advance, and Happy Holidays!

Good question. I've wondered the same thing about the Baja figures.

I thought I read somewhere it was 1250 or so? Something like 500 white, 500 black, and 250 inferno...but can't confirm.

I’d love to know that as well......I believe somewhere much earlier in this thread there were some numbers thrown around by someone. I’m not positive how official they were as I can’t remember who or where he got his research from. This sparks my interest too because the number for manual bajas and pros for that matter are extremely low......

    https://www.motortrend.com/cars/toyota/tacoma/2017/2017-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-first-look-review/

Update from the 2016 Chicago Auto Show: Toyota group Vice President Bill Fay says Toyota sold about 1,200 2015 TRD Pros, and he expects to sell twice as many 2017s, which enter production in August. "It's been a real halo vehicle that is attracting a younger, mostly male audience of more affluent buyers. The TRD Pro helps us brand our 4x4 vehicles. There's not a lot of volume, but it adds a nice dimension to the offerings we sell. "

^ That's the one. They initially estimated 1500 but the final number was confirmed at 1200. I've never seen a breakdown by color or cab configuration.

That's what I recall reading somewhere else as well. And that Inferno was the least produced of the three colors.

    Lol.....
When I purchased my pro I was told that it was the only manual in the southeast (at that time). I have no clue if that was a white lie that the dealership told me, but they were stuck on that. Hard not to think that there is only a handful of manual 15 pros out there.

I live just outside Chicago, I called down to Missouri or Tennessee , I don’t remember. This was just before I got my Baja and was for a 15 manual Pro. The dealer wouldn’t sell it to me because he said it was spoken for and told me the same thing pretty much that it was one of only a couple in the region that were manuals....

After purchase I had emailed Toyota directedly and provided my Vin# and dealer information and date of purchase inquiring about production #'s and was told that info wasn't available. But I have also read they originally planned for 1500 trucks but production was around 1200, regardless it would be good info to have.
