    My personal experience with arb products, quality is decent, not the greatest by any stretch but their customer service is FANTASTIC.

    I think it goes beyond airbag compliance. Maybe pedestrian impact safety and preservation of elasticity profile / crush zones after the bumper has transferred energy to the object being struck, due to the non-elastic nature of the heavier bumper. Or something like this. Forgive me, engineers...

    That lower black Valance part of the stock bumper is supposedly for if you hit a pedestrian.

    All cars now days are coming with it . Think it's something like under 15km/h it will mean pedestrian should be fine .I remember reading on it before forget the whole details but it's basically for parking lot accidents with pedestrians to help.
