I fucking hate it. It literally turns my stomach every time I enter that state.

I always play the eyes of Texas over the CB every time I pass through Norman.

And I always say a prayer over the CB when I cross the Red River headed south.
"Dear sweet baby Jesus, thank you for getting me back to Texas alive and not letting me die in that god forsaken shithole they call Oklahoma."

I've probably said it over 100 times and never get a response but a couple of months ago I was crossing back on 69/75 and after I said that I got a single amen in return. Lol

I work downtown too. I think we work close to one another. I’m off through Saturday but need to go pick up the fanfare tickets from HR at work. Sounds like you don’t need any fanfare tickets but if you do, just let me know. As long as I pick mine up, I have two extra.

Do you remember anything about this game? According to the eye-test this game was a waste of time...lol. Did Stoops really own Saban? 17.5 pt favorite...I know general bowl games aren’t played with full effort, but this was a BCS bowl.

If a bowl isn't for the NC, it doesn't mean anything at all. Why would players who will have NFL careers want to go out and get hurt in an exhibition game? This is the same thing with UCF talking about beating auburn last year in the bowl game.

every game means something if you're hoping for an NFL career, except games against teams like the Citadel lol.

it seemed to me another example of "give a team a chance and they can win a game" situation, and that the "eye-test" isn't always right.

nfl scouts know it's an exhibition game. bowl games that aren't for championships don't matter.

Our players never play to their full potential in bowl games. Some of the young ones hit the field running & gunning though, 1st playing time and its really just a for fun game...lol

I just couldn’t remember the deal from 13-14 season. So who won it? The BCS stuff is foggy to me

True story. Ed Oliver is sitting out his bowl game because it doesn’t matter.

I'm glad in my lifetime I haven't seen LSU "not want to be" in a game. They've lost bowl games, but not because they thought they were "entitled to be somewhere else". What a BS mindset.

bullshit. by the time a player is ready to come out of the college game and enter the nfl, they are not going to risk getting hurt in a game that doesn't matter. whether or not they are going to be drafted or invited to the combine is not affected a single bit by their performance in an exhibition game.

the team goes as the players go, especially the juniors and seniors that are leaving for the nfl.

good for them. the team I cheer for hasn't done that BS in my lifetime, as I stated, and I'm thankful for that. I also think it's a BS mindset. Just because you agree with that mindset doesn't mean my comments are bullshit.

Bowl games matter to 90%+ of the players because they want to play, and it’s another game to show off before MAYBE going to the combine.

The players that sit are generally virtual top-10 locks and don’t want to get hurt.. and most still play. If they don’t have an insurance policy out on themselves by now, they’ll never get figure it out.

the team you cheer for maybe hasn't, but the players definitely have. and it doesn't mean just sitting out the entire game. it may be whiffing on a tackle that could cause an injury... or maybe not hitting the hole as hard or fast for the running back. it only takes slacking off a little of effort to take the whole team down a notch.

yeah well your team lost in a game they were favored by 17.5 because of that snowflake mentality. good for them.
