Diff isn't leaking. My drain plug to the oil pan was though haha got me worried for a minute

No. All stock everything in the drive train.

A harrop i think is in the future. But not near. Would like to put more effort into Frank.

 

Also the rear leaf spring bit the dust and fell out. Gonna need some new ones now!

That storage space in front of the rear wheels is a neat idea. Wonder if the range of 400 miles is loaded with weight?

 

Doubt it. Mentions 5 passengers and 400 miles but that's is usually a "if conditions are perfect" kind of thing

 

Really quite interesting and almost affordable. In spite of what the story says, a 400 mile (ideal) range will still be very limiting.

The vehicle looks huge (wide), that will limit it offroad-ability a lot too. Nonetheless, excited to see stuff like this coming down.

Yeah I mean its a start. First real sort of truck and SUV thats offroad capable and still a truck I've seen. Does look massive. Its nearly 80'' wide so Raptor size. That's with the mirrors folded in haha

And I wouldn't call that almost affordable. Anything over 40k to me is just silly.





Audi is pushing their new "suv" electric car pretty hard too. 80k though. And not a real suv, its a wagon. Idk why the hell they are calling it an SUV.

Yeah Im outside Laurel which is a big rail yard. So we get them a lot. Sucks as they have to blow their horns and seems like 2-6 come through there between 1am-6am. Living only 3 blocks from it is not cool.

I only get stuck behind the crossing maybe once a week. They are doing repairs ever since the train derailed so be sorta slow.

 

I’m just trying to get home for the weekend, kinda inconvenient but oh well, I’m sure isn’t every something you hope for. I

Yeah im sure there would be solar options but you'd need some serious solar to do a good charge. I like the idea of "electric jerry cans". Swappable battery extensions that could be swapped in town. Theres a scooter in India or japan that does that. You just swap batteries when you need one at a station. Granted that means carting around more heavy batteries..



Im still holding out for Hydrogen.

 

The amount of energy solar pannels on the roof would pull in in 24 hours would probably add less than a mile to the range.
