Just had mine replaced for $300.00 cash. The individual changed it my driveway. He is from the Sackville area, Silver Lake to be more precise. I can get you his phone # if interested.

I've had mine done at speedy on main St, Dartmouth, Good guys, I hear good things about apple auto glass in Burnside as well.

Check your insurance, I've got a clause in mine for cracked windshield, makes it super cheap to replace. Like $100 cheap. Worth a phone call.

That reminds me, I need to get some one to look at my windshield, my rubber trim around it has bubbled up in the middle. i'm sure that can't be good.

I’m not covered under insurance for my windshield it wasn’t worth it I’d have a 500 deductible so I passed

Im not in Nova Scotia I live in NB My safety is due at the end of feb so I don’t need it till then but I’m assuming over Christmas leave I might be home In NS I’d have it done then “maybe”

The chip happened on the 9th of November i was gonna have it filled like this week but then over this weekend the chip split into a Y shape and I know it won’t pass safety that way because part of the split is in my line of sight

Rick Reid is in Sackville NB, 506 384 7227. In the summer he and his son basically works out his van. I'm not sure what he does in the winter. If you can put in your own windshield you may get it for less than 300 CND. He does good work

I've had good luck with Novus Glass in Bayer's lake. I've talked to a couple other people that I know that had thier windshield replaced there as well. They were the best price around. (902) 406-7620
I've also dealt with apple auto glass on kempt road and had good service and prices with them as well. 902-455-0494
Edit* I used to go to speedy on kempt Rd, but now when you call you get a call center somewhere out of province, possibly out of country, and they were double the price of almost everyone, and when I told them that, they started to spout bullshit about all the extras they cover, new window seal and blah, blah, blah. Found out all the other places included new seal as well.
They actually called me back the next day gave me a lower price without thier add ons (which was still like $300 more than Novus/Apple) and asked how they could get me satisfied, I told them to match the lower prices, and they said they couldn't. I actually wanted to stop in to the location on kempt Rd to tell them what is going on when you get the call center, because they were always very competitive before the call center.
Anyway, that's enough of my rant, haha. What I'm trying to say is, I don't think you will get a good deal from speedy.

Yes, it has been a good season, and the taco has been indispensable and well used.

Advantage Auto Glass in Quispamsis is super reasonable and about an hour south of Freddy. Give them a call... Ron is the only guy that has changed a windshield for me in the last 30 yrs....lol https://www.advantageglass.ca/

I was about 50 hours in the stand when he walked out on the last day of camp. Had 7 does visit through the week. Soon as I saw the one antler, I punched his ticket. It was a horrible week. 80km wind all week, which makes for fun hunting from a tree stand.
