Labradoodle or golden? I have a Labradoodle. Great dogs, I love they don't shed. My black lab does enough for ten dogs! Beautiful pup btw. Here are my to trail pups!

Also having lived in Seattle I think you nailed it. Its a great place to visit but I don't think I could live there again. Honestly you guys should come check out Missoula. It feels like a mini Seattle to me tons of music great outdoors. The other nice thing its a super friendly community and cost of living is super affordable!!

That's what drew me to SLC. Kinda reminds me of Seattle back in the early 2000's. Granted SLC is starting to grow up now too :(

I've thought about looking in MT since a few of my friends live in Bozo. Just never really got serious about it.

I would love to live in Montana after traveling through there last summer. Definitely less population with also means less quality jobs

I've been considering working remotely with my company which would really open up some possiblities

Unfortunately, on the accounting side, you have to get pretty high up before you can escape the office. I'm trying to do the same though!

Yea that was my struggle I came here for college and fell in love. Unfortunately there where no decent jobs available... So I found something that still pays the bills and that I like doing which is selling cars.. Its great I get to meet new people every day and talk about cars and the adventures they are going to take them on! That being said a lot of jobs are opening up and new business's are forming here. Two company's that a lot of my friends work for are OnX maps and ATG both six figure jobs and great company's to work for.

Yea I've had a few friends move to SLC seems pretty sweet but probably a lil bigger than what I want these days. Bozeman is cool, a lot more jobs but not the same feeling as Missoula. Bozeman is all spread out missoula is all tucked into this little valley so its not able to really grow and expand like Bozeman. We have way more breweries and a lot more music seen. This is the new amphitheater. about 5 min drive outside of town...

And this is about 5 miles up the road from behind my house.

We definitely get Griz but you rarely see them, and just have to remember to make lots of noise...

This is exactly what I've been looking to do. Thanks for posting! How did you attach it with the rivit bolt? Meaning how did you get the rivit piece in the bed rail?

I've owned for 15 years, and only in the last 5 have prices gone through the roof. But yeah, I grew up in Middle TN and now live in CO. The sticker shock is real.

So by that math, my mortgage should be ~180K, which means I am 130K short of a "not a trap house" in the SLC area? At least in a neighborhood where your stuff doesn't go missing immediately if you leave it outside or the garage open... That seems pretty unrealistic to me.

Actually comparing an annual salary to an obligation with a 30 year term is apples and oranges. Your monthly mortgage payment should be no more than about 30% of your monthly income. All else being equal, the same mortgage amount will cost you more and more as interest rates increase. You were right to be unconvinced.

I questioned it because that's what we were told as the rule of thumb "30% of your monthly income"

    ^^^^^ what he said.

My other point was that house prices in the western/mountain/pacific US are wacky. Almost impossible to afford on 2x-3x-however many times salary as it is.
