I like the progression of emotion. :bananadead:

I prefer to half send it. Low risk of fubar but still fun for me.

Gotta send it with consideration of the wallet

We’re tou the guy that was with his Dad? If so that truck looked BRAND new. If that’s the case I understand too. I’m the guy that takes mine right off the lot and does something to scratch it up just to rip that band aid off haha

Yeah he just scrapped a few times he would just feel better with a little lift is all. I'm only on 2 inches and scrapped twice skid plate and rear diff on then damn ruts at the beginning and I'm running 265 75 16 if that gives you any help.IMG_20181128_144828.jpg

Ok fellas, so according to current weather reports, its evidently going to rain today-saturday night in Waynesville. Most of us are stock, and most habe never been on the trail. Given the talk of the situation at the trailhead with ruts, and the water crossings likely beimg higher than normal, this trip may get rescheduled. Im talking to the group now to fins out what the general consensus is.

I made it fine without the lift, but I hate bottoming out my truck on the rocks and ruts of hurricane, If I had another inch or two I would be fine

and @Dangerdave yep that was me that came up there with dad

May not be a bad idea, also if you go down the trail instead of coming up from I40 that will make things a lot easier, you will make it either way, but it will be more fun if its not raining for when you need to get out and spot each other.

You know Ima dreamer, and my heart’s offroad. I had to drive away high, so I didn’t get stuck low. Home Sweet Home...
Cool. Post Edited... Also I think the other guy was in an old FORD, not an old Chevy...

I ran it once a couple years ago with @misdirection1982 Once was enough, check it off the list. Maybe its changed, but was no more than a fire road with a couple “rough” spots. Its worth running just to see the views and landscape. Have fun , enjoy.

Probably not going this weekend. I think I am going to plan a camping trip with the kiddo soon and me and her will go run it and camp up at Max Patch.
