He lives in kernersville and is in the military???? Is he Nat'l Guard?

 

Hes not in the mil. He is a contractor that works for training mil.

 

Sweet still I would of thunk he'd live closer to Bragg, Pop, or Lejune for that. Kernersville is only about 30 min west from me and I am right smack dab in the center of the state W. NC region would be west of Kernersville a little further.

 

Personally I believe that it is an a front to name a highway after Richard Petty and have a speed limit though

There are quite a few good sized Nat'l Guard Stations around here.

 

He doesn't work NG specifically, although some units that are ng come through his training, he works mostly active duty. He doesn't work on post. Any post. and works in NC, in training. Think about it. He also used to frequent these forums.

 

I'm following you Well have an idea but may be off a little. The military and it's training is spread all throughout the state. Hell grandpa was a Surgeon during WW2 for the navy working out of Asheville of all places.

 

Like I said, I love NC. If only the job market was like VA, Id be there. But incident response jobs are lacking. Might buy a 2nd house out there though. And I like NC the way it is for the most part. Wouldn't be one of those people that move to change the place. That has been happening in VA for the last 15 years. Im am very envious of yall.

 

Oh just go to the RTP that's been happening a lot. We are fighting hard though to try not let our culture and way of living be driven out by transplants.

South Asheville and Hendersonville have changed a lot in the past few years, apartment complexes and affordable housing are being built everywhere.

 

this is unfortunately not what I am looking for.

 

I moved back here in 2010 permanently and I was surprised at all the changes. Because of the population growth I now talk back roads to get around town. If your use to heavy traffic in big cities you would think that we don't have a lot of traffic. In the month of April all the retirees from Florida come up to add to the traffic problems.
