Lol. There's one taco joint around here that has cucumbers at the salsa bar too instead of radishes. Always thought that was weird but whatever, that place has grilled jalepenos which most around here doesn't. I much prefer radishes than cucumbers with mexican food.

You live near LA. There should be tons of authentic taco trucks down there

Getting mexican food is not a problem down here. Mexican food everywhere, doesn't mean they're all good though. There's only a number of places close to me that I'll go to.

So I went and grabbed my quote from Toyota. They wanted 1000 dollars for two calipers. WOW. Debating having a buddy just put on calipers before they do this

They were concerned that the bleed nipple is Possibly stuck and might need to be bled. The other stuff on there was justifiable and not insanely over priced but I nearly shit myself when I saw that. I’m thinking I’m gonna do brakes, carrier bearing, and shocks before I drop it off shits insane

Thats what those rubber caps are for. Have you tried replacing the bleeder valve?

Meant to say, they are afraid they won’t be able to bleed the system. Camelback sells them for 90 bucks approx a side. I want to call the service rep and ask him how that’s possible for calipers to be 500 percent more

90 bucks for a front caliper? Toyota calipers are like 300 a piece last I checked with my employee discount

I dunno about the taco, cause calipers are cheapo at the parts store. But the cruiser you can just buy caliper rebuilds for, might be a good option

You ca. Buy rebuilds for any Toyota calipers. The seal kits around 20 bucks.
Pistons are a bit pricey if you need those

What would you do in my shoes empty? Think they are trying to drain my wallet ? It seems pretty outlandish. His concern was that they were rusty and wouldn’t be able to get the nipple out and thus make them unbleedable.

Going off this my price would be 300 a side. But I’m pretty sure these are brand new not reman. The reman parts usually have the xxxxx-xxxxx-xx numbers

Dude. Honestly, I get rusty bleeders out all the time. I think they’re either a not use to rust. Or b trying to get more money out of you because whoever’s doing the frame is probably going to lose his ass in labor due to frame swaps not being common in Hawaii no prior experience

They said they have done a few before. But I said when I just met with him that dude. I really don’t want to pay a 1000 in calipers for something I’m just gonna take off. He said they were gonna try but idk how I feel about it

Can't be that bad to pull a bleeder, usually if they snap off they still come out easy enough because they're soft to drill out
