whack the head with a hammer a few times. then try removing it. if it doesnt budge get a little bit of heat on it and it'll pop out no problem. drillings not too bad. but if you fuck up and go to far your up shits creek without a paddle

 

honestly if they need calipers. go to Napa, get some tundra calipers pads and rotors and have the tundra upgrade done.

bullshit. we install aftermarket suspensions occasionally when we do frame swaps. charge extra labor time though. (due to alignment fuckery when its done)

They just cant supply labor if something needs to be warrantied

 

hell last frame i did we put a toytec lift kit and SPC arms on. got a little more labor and the guy left with a fresh suspension and new frame

 

He might be looking at rebuilt calipers, thats why there is a core charge, still cheaper than buying them new. Toyota remans I can trust just like I trust honda/acura remans.

 

I knew something was fishy. Honestly I’m going to just go and get some reman napa calipers and pads, and rotors. Do you think this will cause an issue with them ? I want to call on Monday and tell them I’ll do the brakes before I bring it in.

 

oh yea toyota remans are fine.

 

no it wont cause issue. honestly do it before you go because you'll save on labor.

 

bleeding brakes is bleeding brakes. changing calipers to aftermarket/bigger/W/E does not make bleeding difficult

 

Okay. I’ll contact gunny on Monday as well as the dealer letting them know I’ll do the brakes with OEM parts.

 

sounds like a good plan.

also. if you havnt yet. frame swaps the perfect time to swap the front struts and rear shocks. your getting new leafs as it is. might as well go all the way rear shocks are cheap (like 40-60 bucks i think from toyota). the front struts are 200ish a pop i believe

 

they'd probably charge for the fronts being that you have to swap springs over. but the rears have to be removed anyway. shouldnt be any labor on them

 

I ordered bilstein 5100 for all four corners should be enough no ?

these guys. you dont have to. just makes life easier incase a stud breaks on the old ones.

 

Energy suspension body mounts can also be installed while doing the frame swap. You do not get new body mounts with the frame swap (once again not needed. but your there. they're not too expensive. but totally up to you
