Fingers crossed! Maybe everyone just wants to get home??

 

I barely was able to even explain even a minute worth with the 5 star rated.

When I worked at the tire shop, 14yrs, I was basically forced to work on cars coming in even after 6pm. If the bay doors were open, "WE" were open. BUT, with THAT said, "I" NEVER F'N complained about... "going home". With that being my point, the customers that came in didn't give a shit about "me" though. What if "I" wanted to "go home"?

One thing happened, one of my co-workers made a stink about a car coming in as we were cleaning the bays getting ready to leave, 4x bay doors with 1x bay door still open because we were clearly cleaning what needed to be taken care of. Anyways, the car pulls in and my co-worker pretty much starts complaining, although under his breath, you could tell he was upset. I immediately went to the car and getting ready to lift it up on the quick lift. It was about 6:50pm'ish. The customer saw the reaction of my co-worker and saw my reaction and immediately pulled the mgr aside and said that, "I like that guy because he started working on my car immediately and didn't complain like that guy...". That actually happened a couple more times, but slightly different situations.

Anyways, in my humble opinion, customer service is, most definitely, NOT the same as it was back in the '90s... at least how "I" see it!!!

Completely agree! I used to work at Home Depot in Carmel Mtn. Ranch/San Diego in the '90s. We always were taking product knowledge classes, were taught to engage customers, and help customers decide what they needed.

Now, at HD or Lowes, you could walk most the employees into an effing door!

For now, just the radiator, but it is an insurance claim thing. The insurance company total loss the car, but if you were to see the estimated repair list from the collision center, it is the cosmetics of the car that jacked the price WAY up there. The body damage is very minimal really. The insurance company said that if a "licensed mechanic" can be found then that would be alright with them and possibly not total loss the car. It's currently at the collision center in Tustin, but with a busted radiator for sure. FML, "I" could do the radiator myself, but then that would void any insurance claims as soon as I touch the damn thing. Hence, a "licensed mechanic".

 

I was told that she would get the cash, but they would not give back the car??? I don't know, maybe I misunderstood, but pretty sure that is exactly what they had told her and no misunderstanding on my part? But then again, maybe "I" did misunderstand? I'll try to find that out.

 

I just want to say thanks guys!!! I'm trying to help her as much as I can. She is in pretty bad shape with money and such.

Honestly, I don't see any difference with not leaving someone behind on a trail and helping someone in need during hard times?

 

I 2nd his idea, take the cash buyout. There's always that option from the insurance company

 

okay. I don't know how this shit works because I've never had to deal with this kind of crap before. The reason why I tried to teach myself as much stuff as possible... especially with cars!!!
