Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I second this. I have an old Square D that still uses them. Thus I used the same in my new barn.

I agree with Oz, how big? Ultimately ready mix or a rented mixer will make life easier. Rebar or mesh will always help hold it together, so for the few extra $, I'd say yes.

I don't have exact dimensions off the top of my head but around 8'x8', though may be closer to 8'x6'.

I'm hoping to get some new cordless tool this year with some gift cards and money I have stowed away. I'm looking for some decent quality but I'm not much more than an active homeowner / DIY guy.
I want a drill, driver, circular saw. Dewalt, rigid, and mikita have good deals where they throw in a few extra tools or batteries I certain deals.
The oscillating tool, trim router and maybe sawzall interest me. In leaning towards mikita 18v, rigid is more affordable, and dewalt offers 20v with some "flex volt" tools.
Any reason I should go with dewalt for my purpose? Or maybe save cash and go with the rigid? Thanks guys

Ryobi are decent also...for the home owner. Ive been using my hammer drill and drill for a number of years now, Im starting to get some battery problems but they have been working great for the abuse.

I have to replace the pressure relief valve on my gas hot water heater this morning since it keeps leaking. I've already bought the part and pipe sealant, watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and it's very straightforward so I think I'm ready. I just get nervous messing with plumbing stuff when I have to cut the water off to whole house.

I poured a 10x10 slap at my old house and instead of mixing it myself i called a local concrete company and they sent a truck with my concrete pre mixed with the fiber. I paid them a few hundred bucks for the load. I dont remember how much I ordered, it was the smallest they would allow, maybe half a yard.

Not that big of deal. Just relieve the pressure on relief valve before removing and after you turn off water to water heater. No need to shutdown the whole house unless you don’t have valves for water heater.

Just got done. I did have to shut the water valve in the basement -whole house- because there isn't one to the hot water heater itself. The longest part was draining the tank down enough for the relief valve. No leaks so far. :D

Thanks oz, I'm leaning this way, my brother and buddy both have mikita and I have used them and liked they way they felt and worked.
Thanks for this. Dewalt is a little lower on my list but still a possibility, I search craigslist as well and find more dewalt than anything else.

Anyone have any ideas how to remove this anchor? Super heavy duty and a pain to get out.

Can you get bolt cutters around it and just lop off the front and shove the back of the anchor in the wall?

does the hook come off when you unscrew the cross tip on on it? If it does just take the hook off and push the other piece back into the wall and patch the hole.
