Looks like they might be a decent cheap alternative to switch pros or s-pods without going chinese, and they have switch plates for tacomas. But I haven't found many reviews on them.

I just figured at a third of the cost, mounting solutions for the Tacoma, and made in the USA, they would be a popular choice.

I might just have to find out for myself. I'll need something to control with them though

Looks to just be a bank of relays with everything pre wired and loomed.

I’m running a switch pros and I’ve been very happy with it. There’s a lot more to it than simply on/off which looks to be all this kit does. If that’s all a person needs, then this is probably great but I wanted more than that (as do others). I’ve got mine keyed so that it will shut down power after I shut down the truck. I’ve also got a master switch configured that will turn all my lights on/off.

Everyone’s needs are different but my only regret with the switch pros is not buying it sooner.

As mentioned above, it also seems to have quite a few less features than the switchpro (I own a switchpro, and don't really know what the S-pod's offer in terms of features). Things like low voltage cutoff, master/slave switches, bluetooth (kind of overrated in my opinion... but awesome for setup), and linking trigger wires to switches (e.g. hibeams on... grill light bar on).

the s-tech website has some photos of the tacoma specific model, the left side cubby solutions kind of look pretty cheap. The other solution is the front center lower area where the Qi charger lives (i.e. my sunglasses home), so you'd lose that storage.

    https://stechswitch.com/tacoma-photos/

I'm also of the age that I'm done trying to find cheap alternatives to proven products. But I get that shit is expensive. But I'd rather bite the bullet (i.e. save a little longer and fight the buy now demons) and get the more complete and proven product.

Yeah, Honestly I was looking at this with the plan of not using their switch mounting as I have a brake controller on the driver cubby and actually use the wireless charger. Meso has a few options to get more switches into factory locations, so I was thinking I could wire this into some Toyota style switches from Amazon for a factory look. If going that route it's probably cheaper just to build my own relay block though.

I really like the program ability of the switch pros, s-pod I think does something very similar but it's even more expensive. Switch pros also allows dimming right? That's a pretty sweet feature.

I just don't like the look of the keypad on the switch pros, or s-pods. Could I just use the Bluetooth function and control them over my phone or an aftermarket head unit and just stash the control pad out of sight?

Yes, it'll work without the switchplate. But I am not sure you can use Bluetooth with the switch pro and through the radio. It might be either or.

one more advantage with the switchpro is that through the phone app you can change the back light colors of the switch panel to whatever you want.

Could I just put the switch panel in the glove box though? Then use a phone/ Android head unit to control lights?

@JimmyRigged88 Picked up one of these S-Tech Universal 6 Switch Systems, and pretty stoked to get it wired in. I'm looking into mounting solutions via Power Trays since I have a manual trans, and the clutch fluid reservoir is in the way.

I purchased one of these and I will say, it is top quality. Also, Scott (I think that is the owner's name) was extremely helpful with both the ordering process and with install questions. It is a basic relay/fuse set up, but the control panel is what really drew me to it. HOWEVER, I must caveat that I ended up selling mine and replacing it with another system. Reason being is that the particular box that the s-tech uses has quite a footprint. I have onboard air, a negative bus, a positive distro block, and a few other goodies under the hood with most of it on a power tray. The s-tech box took up too much real estate on the power tray. Had I decided to not use the power tray, the s-tech would be in there because both the mounting for the box against the fender AND the cubby pocket insert were well thought out and easy to install.

Conclusion: It is a great switch system if you just need to turn stuff on and off and are not starved for space. I have recommended the system to several friends.

What's this about the clutch reservoir? I have an mt also, I didn't know there were fitment differences.

@pjskinner I like that it's simple, it means it's more robust, easier to fix, and easier to modify. What did you end up replacing it with?

@JimmyRigged88 The wire looms have more than enough length to be run from the passenger side empty area. I’m standing by working with Maverick at Power Tray’s which will have a cutout for the clutch fluid reservoir, since the clutch fluid relocation bracket from Powder Trays will not work with the S-Tech. As soon as he can have it back from the water jet and get it out to me, I’ll post some content. But in the mean time it’s temporarily mounted on the passenger side.

Interesting. Yeah I'd love to see how it comes out. Is that a product they will be offering?

Same here can’t wait til it arrives, as to if it will available as a stocked item, I really couldn’t say, until we iron out all the wrinkles.

I replaced it with the AAC Trigger4+. I have one of their old 4 systems in my 4Runner and LOVE it. I have installed all sorts of wiring systems in all sorts of trucks, and theirs is by far the easiest to install. However, I originally wanted true rocker switches, which is why I bought the s-tech. Also, the Trigger system took up less space on the power tray!

I have never heard of that one. Just looked it up and it looks awesome. And it's quite a bit cheaper than the switch pros setup. Are those not real rocker switched on the trigger system? Looks like they are on the photos.

I have it. Picked up the universal system for $160. For the price nothing can beat it. I’ll do an install write up some time on it.

Depends the system. the original trigger 4 had rocker-looking switches, but they were not. the new system has "rocker" switches, but I am not sure you can change the switches for ones from say, OTRATTW.
