I start and wait until the temp is about 70. That way I have a chance to keep the windshield clear of fogging and any remaining ice or frost will melt off. I have a 7 minute drive to work so I am not trying to drive like a moron and beat on my truck trying to save 35 seconds from my commute. Slow and steady and I get there when I get there.

Cold power, i love watching people jump in and have the vehicle in gear before the starter has disengaged. I've heard stories of people doing that in sub zero temps and the oil filter exploding.

Summer time I give my truck about 60 to 120 seconds of idle time, in the winter I let it idle until its blowing hot air and I'm not yelling FUCK ITS COLD. Just wish I had a remote start.

I wait about 3-5 min for mine and it's a hell of alot faster than trying to start my drag race car after sitting 2 weeks . That takes about 15 min of laying on the starter then feathering the loud pedal trying to keep from fuel fouling plugs

Vehicles will benefit from momentary warm-up in cold weather, however you don't want to leave them running for 15>20 minutes.

engines warm a bit faster under load. I start up, buckle up and put in reverse to back out of my garage. No foot on the gas. Put it in D and drive out of my driveway. Still no foot on gas. Turn onto residential street and give it the slightest throttle go get up to the 25 mph speed limit and drive about 1/2 mile to get out of subdivision. By that time it's warm enough to drive normally.

So I guess, just take it easy the first mile or so. No need to let it idle away unless you are trying to warm the inside of the truck which I can see in very cold climates. One of the reasons for remote start I guess.

2nd gen owner but what I do is start it and wait for the fan to quiet down...i.e. engines slows to normal idle. Takes 10-30 seconds depending on the ambient temp/how long the engine has been off. Then I drive <2000 RPM until my Ultra Gauge shows open loop when taking my foot off the gas. This is usually 3-5 minutes of easy driving, again depending on ambient temp. I've found that when "cold" it stays in closed loop even when coasting/slowing to a stop. Once the temp needle starts to move and engine temp is above about 140-ish, it will show open loop when coasting. I figure that's a good indicator that it's up to temp.

If you met a girl that was that beautiful, but her legs were shorter than her arms like that....would you?

I actually had situation similar to that.

It was actually a red head too. She was beautiful and had really nice boobs. I was 22 at the time. On our first date, she asked to hang out at my house after our dinner.

Once there, of course we jumped in the bed and took off our clothes. During the pillow talk, she warned me about her on-going spinal curvature issue.

Now keep in mind that I was 22 at time and had been banging girls At least once a week since I was 20, So I had no problems with performance

She took of her shirt, and sure enough she had those nice big boobs that all red heads seem to have. Then I noticed something really strange.... her rib cage nearly touched her hips. It was the weirdest body shape I have ever seen.

After kissing and hugging for a few minutes, I just couldn’t get over her body shape. I couldn’t get myself into the mood. I politely said it’s time for me to go to sleep and I took her home. She called me a few times for two weeks, but I never spoke her again. It was shame because she was actually a really cool girl, and we shared a lot interests. Sometimes I think about what could have been. Oh well.

Oddly enough, I also had a date with a Mexican girl around that time, and her body was super hairy( like an animal). She was also borderline fat (more like curvy/thick). I had no issues completing the task in that instance. I actually had a few more nights with her. The red head was far more beautiful than this Mexican girl too

Something about weird body proportions I guess
