Would it be a better option to buy a Hood Scoop and wheels, or trade in my truck for a pro?

I would just add the stuff if your happy with your truck . plus u can shop around for the parts and get cheaper than the dealer if that's where u plan to buy it . But if your going to a new vehicle I would spend the money into a tundra .

No worries man. I only have two spots that I hunt. One 8 acres in Fauquier basically in a neighborhood. Lol. Still deer there for sure but has slowed down some in the past few years.

The other spot is in Rappahannock and it’s a little bit bigger spot but the landowner lets other people hunt that also so they are pretty pressured. Finding a spot that a bunch of people aren’t hunting is the biggest obstacle. I still get a couple of deer a year though.

Next year I start PA school and once I get done I am buying a piece of land for sure and doing it that way. It’s hard when multiple people are hunting the hell out of an area especially if it’s a smaller piece of property.

Good deal man. May many years of enjoyment come to you and yours in your Taco. For the record I don’t hate the PRO, but for the $$$ you can get some killer suspension options for your taco.

Check out ADS Shocks or the Bilstein 8112’s if interested. Both are phenomenal

    My friend's got a Tacoma
Man he hates that Off Road
    He tells me every day
He says "man I really gotta lose my Off Road
In the worst kind of way"

Off Road sits on with no hood scoop
He works his hands to the bone
To give the Off Road more money every payday
But he wants more Pro look just to stay at home
    Well my friend
You gotta say...... Get a Pro

I was being cheeky, but yes. There's a method to the madness. Needed a vehicle for her to use but wanted it to fill multiple rolls. Had to be a p/u as we need the bed for random shit around the 5 acres we moved onto this summer. Wanted a stock rig that could cover ground lock step off road with my built 200 series so that we can keep her wanting to travel with us and not just glued to her phone in the back seat. With only tires, sliders and a bed rack it's an easy button with a 7/100,000 bumper to bumper factory warranty. I'll be able to impart all sorts of valuable lessons via experience thus continuing to fulfill my role of adopted parent as best I can. Time left to engage with her before we send her out into the cruel world is dwindling fast.

Or just don’t give her a smart phone. I design interfaces for all types of devices and I can honestly say smartphones are an addictive disease in the world.

I honestly shouldn’t comment since I don’t have a daughter (a son) and he could care less about being on his phone because I keep him busy outside

Don't be silly, the trucks are made for the masses who never go offroad. You are part of like 1% that adds heavy duty suspension, wheels, armor and goes wheeling. The trucks are not made for you and your buddies or they would come with Kings, armor etc and not sell more then 5000 a year.

Lol I would not put King’s on my truck.

To your point, yes you are correct, but when 300lbs in the bed bottoms out the leafs and the soft suspension nose dives when daily driving seems like it more of a car than a truck. I just added a few things to make it more “truck” capable. I can carry 1000lbs in my bed with 1” of sag (not that I do that often). Honestly the best mod for these trucks is OVtune because they drive like garbage from the factory and more than 1% can most likely agree

Get a hybrid bumper and winch. Way more unique than the scoop.

Not sure how old your kid is, but at some point integrating tech into their lives is an inevitability, regardless of how insidious it may or may not be.

I agree it’s inevitable and he’s very young right now, but hopefully introducing him to the “man-made tech madness” will be gradual. And keeping the “real/organic” of the outdoors will stay true to him. I do intend for him to inherit my taco one day so that he can go explore as his father has.

The irony is the hood scoop doesn't do anything, so even the TRD Sports are posers.

Lol, poser of what. Come on there all Tacomas. I know for a fact with owning a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the past 35 years I can take mine anywhere a Off Road can go, even a Pro. No need for crawl control or aka glorified cruise control. A good set of tires and a knowledge driver can go anywhere within reason.

Do what you want before it depreciates any further.
There's nothing worse than looking out at your driveway and wishing something else was there but feeling trapped by what you have. Gotta be happy in this life.
