Pretty sure this isn't a good idea. The castle nut is the oem part and I wouldn't suggest doing it. On the castle nut your suppose to tighten it down the back it off to find the hole for the cotter pin location. At least that's what my instructions said.

Cool man no worries. I think I'm a fairly smart guy but forums, and snapchatting and tweeting and shit... forget it! Took me 30 minutes just to figure out how to imbed a video on here!:annoyed:

Roger that. Yes sir I did finally figure it out, then was pissed that it was so easy to do! Just ain't happy I guess if I'm not over-complicating something. :D

Hey guys.. trying this forum first because I don't wanna be that guy who didn't check the forums before asking questions. I've read almost the entire 30 pages of this.

But... I have the 6.5 maxtrac with fox in the front and rear. I'm trying to run 35's and I have the CMC. I run 33's with no issues and have absolutely no rub no matter what I do. I talked to the reps at maxtrac and they said as long as I stay within the 4.75 backspacing requirements I should be able to run 35's with no issue regardless of the offset.. but that just doesn't seem right. Any insight would 100% be appreciated.

A friend of mine has the exact same truck (not color;)), lift kit and exact same wheels (17x7.5) and he was able to mount 35”x12.5 on his. His does rub at the cab mount, however, He has NOT done the CMC....:confused:

20180805_074442.jpg 20180806_084415.jpg 20180805_213340.jpg A coupe days ago I installed Maxtrac 4" spindle lift kit (I used the extended brake lines, U-bolts, and included hardware), medium duty OME Dakar full lift replacement leaf packs (I did not use the Maxtrac lifting blocks from the kit), leaf spring bushing kit suggested by @HeadStrong Off-Road , Bilstein 5100 struts set at 0, 5100 extended length shocks (instead of the Maxtrac rear shocks from the kit), Maxtrac kit 616800 (carrier bearing drop, rear brake line extension, and parking brake cable extension), and BF Goodrich LT 265/70R17 KO2 tires, and 3/4 inch wheel spacers on the rear wheels to even them out.

I feel the truck the the truck drives like a dream now. Wouldn't change a thing. Now the suspension feels nice and firm, but not too firm. My friend has the complete Maxtrac 4" lift kit installed, and I have to say that the OME leaf packs and Bilsteins make a huge difference.

Big thanks to @HeadStrong Off-Road for answering all my questions and giving me a great deal on all the parts.

Love it! Same exact setup I have (not wheels/tires) except I went and added 2" blocks and a strut spacer for the 6.5" lift

One thing I forgot to add about that 4"spindle lift kit is that my caster and camber didn't even need to be adjusted. I just had to set the front toe and everything looked good.20180804_180248.jpg
