Looks like they installed 265/70/17 E load and not the C load which is on the receipt. Think I should go back and make them change the tires? the weight alone is about 8lbs difference per tire... Thoughts?

You should definitely go back and get what you wanted and paid for. How long did it take you to notice the mistake?

If you're off road alot running over rocks and boulders and worried about sidewall damage then keep the E rated tires

I'm running TOYO Open Country Mud Terrains load range E on my 02 DC Pre Runner with a 4cyl and no complaints or issues !!!

I mainly am just going to work from my house so all smooth roads. I'm in the snow a few times a year but never hauling anything.

A couple days. Drove on them about 50 miles to work once and then a few errands.

Load Range E would be excessive for that.

I presume you got more expensive tires?

Either way I'd go back..get what you want

I would keep the E rated tires !! , one plus is you got a more expensive tire for the price of the cheaper C rated. The other is better sidewall and tread protection from punctures that the C rated tires won't have

I've got just under 10k miles on my E rated Toyos and they're wearing awesome !!!!!

If you take them back, they will make it right. DT is awesome when it comes to customer service.

I have Es on my truck. I regret it. Ride like cinder blocks. I’d definitely go back and get the Cs.

DT customer service is great. Take em back, they’ll make it right. Or keep em because they gave you a quarter pounder and charged you for a cheeseburger.

I run e rated on mine. My cooper discovery’s we’re rated at 60 thousand. I have them rotated after every oil change and got 75 thousand. I could have got about 7 more thousand but I was buying a set for my other truck so I got a better deal for two sets.

I've had that happen to me a few years back. I wanted Micheline Pilot Super Sport on my Lexus. They ordered and installed Micheline Pilot Sport. They ordered the correct tires and change them out, no questions asked.

Just the fact that you didn’t mentioned suing or holding them hostage makes you a good dude. Discount will make it right or if you wanna keep them they’ll probably
Refund difference I price. No harm no foul except a minor inconvenience

E range will ride stiffer then the C's, if ride comfort is a concer you should take them back. And the E's will get worse mpg with the extra weight.

The hostage thing did cross my mind a few times but I ended up deciding just to swap them peacefully.

Main reasons I went w/ C was because of weight savings, less stiff than E, same diameter, I don't go offroading so don't need 10ply and hopefully better mpg.

Sorry to hear about the mix-up with the load range and for having to make another trip to the store, Hybridctr! It definitely sounds like the LR-C is the right option for you.

I just sent you a PM
