I think I came across a Toyota diesel during my hunt, are these a limited run OEM?

 

In a Tacoma, no its not OEM. There are Toyota's with Diesels though...Hilux being one

 

No one around to help. Sometimes you gotta improvise. Time to steam clean the engine bay while the engines out.

All good. These welds and that plate behind the motor mount don't look factory. Must be where the frame was fixed at 40k miles 11months after it was sold off the lot.

oh I saw that he made some engine block vent to convert to V4.
Didn't get the message about the extra set of hands to get the engine out AND steam cleaning the bay.

 

He had extra hands on engine out day. Very hung over nearly useless hands.

 

Done.

I set him up with an oral over the counter prescription to steady his hands. Then let him loose in the work shop to Fab up the lift plate. Without that lift plate the engine would still be sitting in the truck.
