I finally got in my roof rack today and I'm trying to bolt it on but one of the holes just will not bite, anyone else had this where it needs to be re tapped?

    If it’s a factory roof rack...then yes

Hole in the rack itself or the roof of the truck?

The factory roof holes under the tape and weatherstripping are threaded. Are you sure your bolts are the right size and thread? Sorry, I don’t have the specs, but someone here will.

Yes, they're the bolts with my prinsu rack. There was one hole not threaded. I had to go buy a tap & die set. All fixed now.

Woah, factory fup. Mine all were there. I have the same color truck, rack and fairing as you. Did you get the bead for making it more sound resistant? I figured just off the top so leaves dont collect and the top angled as far back as possible with the lower part as far forward as possible was the quietest setting too.

What bead? I got the weather striping for the front face plate. And it's in the middle setting. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet

Yeah, the weather stripping. Have fun with that rack, I love mine and use it a lot with a 3-person RTT and other large stuff. Even stand up there for photography.

Nice! I've got the back portion of prinsu rack waiting in my garage til my leer comes in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to getting some kayaks.

I've read reports of no threads or also being misaligned unfortunately.
