I had this for about 10min one time. Bad enough I didn't want to drive the truck after. We have an intersection thats fairly steep, and when turning left you almost do a U-turn. I took it at speed and hit a new pothole while cranked left. Damn near thought I broke my Ball joint. The whole way home after it made ugly noises on every bump and pothole. Then nothing for 7 months. Even after some fairly heavy abuse.

Take it off and if you like it, leave it off. If too much body roll put it back on. It’s all a matter of preference

Do you have to remove the skid plate to get to two of them?

My buddy and I have the same issue. We chalked it up to a characteristic.

It's the steering rack. Tighten it up.

    Ask me how I know.

Nope, at least not with an aftermarket skid. I haven’t had a stock skid in so long I have no idea if it’ll interfere with a torque wrench getting in there.

    Hey guys,
I found the popping noise I was mentioning in the first post.
    You wouldn't believe it.

The bolt on the sway bar tie rods was rubbing the very end on the bottom coil of the spring.
Luckily (after I removed to sway bar) I could paint the scratch with the same silver color paint I use on my truck now (silver taco).

I rode without the sway bar for a bit and did some angled turns out of/into the driveway as before with different speeds and body roll. No popping. Man, d

Driving without the sway bar feels like a cloud over bumps! However, at highway speeds (50+) you can feel the way the body "sways", almost feels like and "S" movement through the body. I can see how this would get scary avoiding a head-on collision. I put the sway bar back on until my next offr-oad trip. It's seriously easy, and anyone who takes it off must understand you HAVE to take off the two front frame braces to get the entire bar out (6 - 17mm bolts) ...not that big of deal (< 4mins)

Anyways, went and cut the little tiny bit that was rubbing, resumed and torqued everything to spec. Checked again by going in a and out of the angled curb entrance to my driveway. No popping.

Anybody with 2.5" shocks may want to check this. See pics below

This little bolt end was rubbing the coil.

Used washers to space bolt away from coil, but decided against this after looking at the tweaked boot angles on the rod. Took these out.

So, I cut about 1/8-3/16" off the end of the bolt and added rubber silicone in case it ever did just barely make contact (doubtful).

Painted the scratches (barely see blemish)

If you wanna run a swaybar the swaybar relocate should solve the issue. It moves it forward about 1/2" or so, just enough to keep it from contacting the coilover.
