Not sure his lights are the same as ours. The dashes in his trucks are the older style.

In my search, I found a bunch of info on 2nd gen and the older first gen. Hopefully some has info on 00-04.

Oh I've never changed bulbs before in exception of some burned out ones, lol. But it's very easy, most people use www.superbrightLEDS.com

Check you tube for 1st gen tacoma cluster removal. Couple good videos on how to do it and what sizes etc. Looks like a big pita, so Im gonna need more than the one bulb to burn out before I rip into it. I like my orange incandescent bulbs so thats what Ill stick with when I do it.

 

Found a vendor here on TW. Looks like he's got all the right stuff. I'm actually ordering from him now.

Been hella busy. I just looked at those things today. This weekend is the decorate for xmas honey doo weekend.

Maybe next weekend.

 

Pretty easy install. I stuck a 2x2 in between the leaf and frame to keep it from snapping up while I undid the shackle. Just use lots of lube. 60 pound feet is what I used on those massive 27 ish mm nuts.

Yeah I dont do that. They have newer vehicles so they drive usually always. Toyota never got cupholders 100% right until the 2nd gens. I'm upset my 04 doesnt have an actual center console and has that contraption instead.
