Yuuuuup. Gotta love driving through the country in Oklahoma. Driving home and a deer decided to say hi. Have to climb in and out of the passenger side at the moment. I was going to try and fix it myself but I'm having trouble locating a replacement door online. And no salvage yards have any around here. Any suggestions?20181128_204957.jpg 20181128_205005.jpg

Drag , no suggestions, as all junk yards have no Tacoma parts for some reason...

Yeah. I could have been worse. Could have been in front and totaled it.

I'd try car-part.com. You might get lucky and find one nearby

I have an OEM door for you prepped and primed for paint, however it's in San Francisco.

Holy crap, Ive never heard of this site and they have quite a few electric doors too! Thank you!!

I appreciate it but I found a door already that is my color. But curious, I assume it's stripped?

    Not for this

Yeah, it's stripped if you're talking about door components. Paint was sanded down and a primer applied.

you might think I am crazy... take both front seats out so you can get to the DS door panel, take that off and if the glass is still good take that out. Now you can get in there with a 2X4 and a sledge hammer and straighten most of it out from the inside. The door skins on these things are pretty thin and you should be able to get enough of it back out to open and close the door.

I'm guessing the deer just got up and pranced away?

Yeah, after I took it to the adjuster yesterday I just got a couple screwdrivers and bent up the fender/door line and I can open the door now.

Man I dont freaking know, I hope it's dead, it slammed into me, I cussed, and kept driving Lol

Right!? I found its fur under the hood yesterday when the insurance adjuster was looking it over. And I thought the same thing, I could have ran a little faster and hit me head on and totaled my truck. Or I could have died

Update on the damage. I'm getting back $3400. I already had a replacement grill because one tab was broken prior to the crash. Just never got around to replacing it. Found an electric window BLACK door ready to go for 500. Found a black fender for $80. Other miscellaneous parts should find for 500 to 1000. So! Sounds like I've got some upgrade money left over! Silver lining

I'd keep looking for a used oem fender and door the same color if it latches and seals in the meantime.
