Do you have a campsite planned for Friday night?

Like I said, two spares is good for an oddball tire size. Especially when we're up in Colorado. That scree has edges like razorblades.

Nope, no campsite yet. Haven't looked for that yet. Any suggestions? I pulled my new tent out tonight, and noticed it's a 4 person tent! Gonna go get a smaller on this weekend. Should be in Farmington between 8 and 10.

A 4 person is probably fine but I have an extra 2 person tent you can use if you wish. I think Alex said he has an extra too. If you want to camp close, Navajo Reservoir (pay site) is 30 minutes away but there are several areas between Albuquerque and here that are nice and would still leave you a fairly short drive in the morning (2 hours max). Angel Peak and Chaco Canyon are both pay sites that should be nice. If you want free, I'd suggest disappearing up in the Jemez mountains east of Cuba. Just find a dirt road and pick a spot. They're everywhere.

When I drove home from DFW because the airports were closed (nightmare story), I went Amarillo, Tucumcari, Albuquerque, and up. Is that what route you're taking?

    Andrew, how are you coming?

Sounds like the route we're taking in. Thanks for the ideas the camping. I'll probably go ahead and pick up a smaller tent, I am sure I'll need it again. Thanks for the offer.
Do you know a final count on partipants? Just curious.

I've updated the first post. The count is going down. I haven't heard from one or two on the list in a while so it may even be less. In fact, I've even removed the "closed" notice. No worries though. Honestly, the less we have, the more quality wheeling time we'll get in. I think a small group will make a better experience for all.

This is what always happens when planning a meet. There will always be a good number of people who bail for some reason or another.

Short of my clutch exploding or the gears in my transmission fusing together from overheating, I'll be there even though I'll need to head back earlier than I thought (probably Monday).

No Blanca, huh? You'll remain her bitch at least a little longer. :) You can stay for Monday's Poughkeepsie run, right?

I agree that we will be able to do a lot more, with fewer people.

I am more excited about this trip, than I was about our family vacation a couple of weeks ago. Somone wanted to go wheeling this weekend, and I truned em down, because I don't want to risk breaking anything, and hurt my chances about coming up.

My new shocks should be in on Tuesday. I'll throw those suckers on, and be ready to go.

Sweet guys I'm almost all set with my gear and I even got a surprise that you will all see at the 1st campsite, as kind of an accessory for the truck. My sliders will be put on today or tomorrow :D as soon as I can convince my mom to weld them. Yeah I said my mom. She is a welder and a really good one at that. we built some massively stout sliders. I'l post pics as soon as my computer stops being gay.

Can't wait to see whatever the surprise is, and those homemade sliders.

If you want to caravan in with Drew and myself, we will be coming through your area on the way.
