Why do fumoto valves drain so freaking slow

    why does it drain so slow? Even with the truck fully warmed up it drains SO SLOW. Like leave it for 30 min slow and it still is draining. Anyone else have this issue ?

    Yes, this is my 1st drain using it. Warmed truck all the way up, have oil cap and dip stick pulled. It drains extremely slow!

    ...It's a small output port. Not ~1/2" like your drain plug opening. I usually just get my other parts ready or just do something else while it's draining, typically takes my truck maybe 5-10 minutes for full drain.

    The opening in the fumoto valve is probably 1/4 the size of the oil drain plug.

    I had a Fumoto on both Toyota’s, still had old oil out, new filter and oil in in less than 30 min.

    Yeah I think of it as a quick 15 min beer break...

    Honestly changing the oil with a fumoto is damn close to meditation... easy... carefree.... clean....

    We are all prolly lowering our blood pressure if you think about it. So fumoto valve saves lives in reality.

    My last change was done while cold. Will be the last time I do that. It does give you plenty of time to do whatever you want (i.e. beer, propeller shaft lube, ponder the meaning of life, etc.). Benefits are nice though... Easy to drain oil, can drain into empty 5 quart jug, no tool oil change
