Does anyone have this item installed on their rig or know exactly what it is? Appears to be some type of baffle behind the grille to keep large bugs off the radiator? Or just a cosmetic item? On their website it doesn't show it as an item you can purchase and it's missing altogether from the install instructional video...pretty strange. Looks plastic or metal with hexagonal holes.airdesignUSA.jpg

I don't know what I'm talking about, but it seems to cause more long term damage to the motor if it's restricting airflow to the radiator, is it not?

That's a valid concern...I'm also thinking during the winter it may ice over and block air passage completely. But I would really like to know what it is.

I have screendoor screen behind my grill and I have not noticed any increase in engine temp. I put it on all my vehicles and I have never had it ice up even a little bit.
