I heard on Podcast that The Staples Center that's connected to the LA Convention center put in a new system that dehumidifies the air and also cooling the air and used the water to make ice for the Kings!

 

Makes perfect sense.
Probably got some LEED credits, or something similar, for that.

I got sucked into the Christmas card this year, hadn't gotten photos done in about 2-3 years, or since my wedding I guess. Have another dog that isn't in any of the "family" portriates and my wife thought we really needed to update. Luckily we had a friend come up to our place and all I had to do was take the dogs on a walk basically and pose a few times.

I worked at the family plant in h.s. and college, a total fucking shit show. There was a period where band-aids were the only fix the people running it wanted to do. OSHA started checking things out at a certain point, probably due to some tips, and once the fines started rolling in, the improvements followed. When I worked there, acid burns and caustic burns were common. Holes in the floor, filled with caustic chems and chemicals flooding areas they shouldn't pretty regularly. I went in a year or two ago and the place is clean (well relatively) and much safer looking.

I think a lot of times "good enough" is way too attractive to people trying to save money. At some point though you need to actually fix things. Your job seems to be to clean up after stupid projects or decisions. I would probably be spending my days cursing people I never met if I were you.

Feels like a Monday, have two appointments this morning then afterwards going to try the diner. Woke up to the "tink, tink, tink" of freezing rain around 3. Now it seems to be just rain although its freezing outside. Gonna be nasty driving today.
