Just ordered the Toytec BOSS with the AAL. Should be 2" lift all around. Still messing around with the tires size. looking to do the popular 285/70/17 on my RRW wheels. 17x9. 0 offset 5 backspacing. hopefully it fits without any CMC or trimming

So, should I buy this lift? I think I’ll sleep on it. Feed back on lift appreciated.

I am happy with mine using a toytec single AAL with the kit. I feel that it rides firmer than stock in a positive way. I prefer the front setup over my past OME setup. I didn’t install the diff drop and have no issues. Do you have any specific questions?

What was the amount of lift on front? My truck is a 2wd DCLB so I’m anticipating the lift will be around 2” due to the added weight of the long bed. I plan on using a 1” block in the rear.

Right around 2 inches, maybe a little under maybe a little over, hard to get a precise number as I didn’t measure it in the shop. I would suggest a 1.5 inch block or the AAL option. My truck has a healthy amount of rake with the AAL but your truck is heavier so there will be a difference

You talking about the eibach Kit? Seems this thread has veered towards a discussion on the toward the boss lift even though it started as an eibach thread. I highly recommend the eibach kit. Read my full review of the eibach kit here:

According to the guy I spoke with at Eibach, the factory UCAs should work. I’ll tell you in a few weeks if they work. I have a kit on order.

I'll be on the same boat as you. My suspension kit comes in a couple weeks, I was thinking of pairing it with a pair of JBA UCAs. Not sure yet.

Eibach recommended that I set front struts at second setting while Wheelers told me I could use the top setting. Either way, I was told I did not need new UCAs by Eibach, Wheelers or my installer.

In went with wheelers recommendation and didn’t need new UCAs because there were no extreme angles, even at highest setting. This is with a 2” aal in the rear. I’m running 265 75 16 Tires.

I do recommend diff drop kit and carrier bearing drop.

Added photos of Front set up with stock UCAs

I used stock UCA’s, diff drop and CB drop. Aligned perfectly and going on 8000 miles with great ride, 261A761E-1C22-4018-8964-4AB99C3DEFCB.jpg C693BD47-8B58-40B5-BD8D-45CAFB146449.jpg 87601BDD-02D9-4AAC-89C3-FFEA382BC8C6.jpg Can’t complain.

I’m running the same size. Think this size is ideal for a Tacoma with this suspension. Not too big or small, affordable, mpgs don’t take a huge dive and no trimming required.

So what position did you use on the front shocks? How much lift did you get?

I have it at the top setting for max lift. It’s compressed the springs a bit more so I have a bit stiffer ride, but still very smooth. Attached is a chart showing lift heights before and after.
