Hey guys, finally upgraded to a newer taco she’s a 18’ BRM SR5 DCLB 3.5L V6 to replace my older aging 2002 1st gen Ext cab. I wanted it to be the same color and configuration and trim as my old previous truck to stay in the Toyota family always loved Toyota trucks grew up with them. I sold my old truck in the 3rd week of July and the next day went to the dealership and got her. Didn’t get to upload this until now only had her for 4 1/2 months now

Thanks wanted to “long live” my choices of the same truck with the newer model in similar configurations know what I mean. I wanted to compare old and new to show that there are little changes. Wanted to go big or go home. Really needed a bigger truck as old truck was cramped

Here’s another I got of her first time hauling lawn equipment after I bought her 2 weeks from the dealer. That 3.5 is no joke it really moves from a stop. 0-45 in 5 secs leaving everyone in the dust
    Love red everything to match!

I would of kept those wheels! Like to get some like them but cannot find any that don't stick out past my flareless fenders on my SR.

Gotta love the doublecab long bed.
Cant believe they are not more common.
The shortbed trucks look horribly disproportionate to me... like they got smushed from behind. lol

I actually prefer the SR5 trim and wheels, but got my TRD OR for the locker rear and crawl control stuff.
May put SR5 wheels on mine or maybe a set of Ray10's.

Sharp truck OP, you did nicely !

Great choice on color! I too went from a 1st to 3rd and don’t regret it at all. Some days I wish I got a LB like yourself though.

Both old and new are beautiful. Just don't stomp on the gas with all that stuff in the bed with tailgate down!

Best color if it wasn’t for my lawn equipment then i would choose either SSM,MGM,Cement or BBP. I wanted to choose red so it would match all of my lawn equipment which happens to be all Japanese brands as well. So all brands that I own are Japanese stuff that can’t be beaten! Gotta love it cause it’s the best color. #everythingred

I too wanted to get the Trd OR but it was way more money and out of my price range and budget. Last truck was Prerunner and wanted to upgrade to 4wd. I was torn between a SR5 4x4 or trd OR 4x4 access cab or Double cab long beds cause I needed the long bed for work and it holds a lot more stuff! It’s alright though cause the dealer only had the one i was looking for RED longbed and its a 4x2 so cheaper.

I originally listed it for 6.4k got a few responses of low ballers so over the course of time I lowered the price a bit so I can get more responses (got tired of waiting and wanted to expedite the process a bit) and eventually settled for 3.5k so I can get rid of the old ride and get a newer one. She had 216k miles trouble free except for wear n tear items obviously. At that time i was eager for a 2014 or newer
