Nothing personal to you, just a poke at a snorkel group buy that went sideways. First GB went well. Second GB took a shit. GB host got greedy and magically had a new long travel single cab while 50+ people waited over a year after fronting $400 to get what they paid for. The TW owner stepped in and in the end everyone who ordered got their snorkel. Not quite on the same $$ scale that the pelfrys got to, and different outcome.

Excuses start here. Grab a sandwich or some popcorn. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/closed-airflow-snorkel-group-buy-2.444431/page-68#post-13670867

Got it. No worries. Just confused for a minute:) I been around many forums through out the years, car, truck, bike, gun etc and TW seems to have the most horror stories for GB and vendors. Is this the new times now?

Really? For what parts? Actual private party gun purchases are usually done FTF and at a FFL dealer. Even then you’re not allow to take it home with you that same day, I know here in CA that is. LE have other things to worry about then a bad transaction over the internet.

I’ve never done that in my life. Meet up somewhere, exchange cash and firearm, shake hands and go home. I’ve even paid for rifles and had them shipped directly to my door.

Anything that goes into felony land. Like my triggers run 250 each, scopes can run up 2k. Like my aimpoint t2 runs 700 new. Nods can be shipped for inside the US those run 1800 for shitty pvs14s, can run all the way to 8k (in actuality there are some that go for 60k). Helmets, 1k, Even NOD mounts can run 500 bucks. Ear pro 200+. Rails and lights (200). I know dudes that buy crye precision pants for 300 bucks. Its a different world man lol

I see what you’re saying but that’s not much different than the items being sold here as value goes. The whole pelfrybuilt (or however you spell it) is one of the biggest and most recent one that I know of and people still haven’t got their money back. I know of local guys who have lost out on over 3k. No LE in sight to take actions towards them. But I might be wrong.

If you get scam on the internet your chances of getting your money back is very slim to none.

Im not saying the money was returned. But also the lead times like that don't exist, another issue is the pelfs were an actual company. Not an individual person. Also they filed bankruptcy, which was their saving grace.
looking back i forgot to mention that. But I never pay in cash only paypal. Guaranteed to get your money back. With a claim that is filed promptly

I started on this last night (320 pages!!) and could only get halfway through. What a debacle. Good stuff starts in the 60’s.

Finished this novel today, classic American story. A villain and a humble hero. The righteousness of the wronged. All is made right in the end. Good stuff.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
ublock origin and script blocker will make your life less miserable. I'd also suggest an always-on vpn service like Private Internet Access for privacy. Don't use ad blocker on sites you should be supporting like TW!

Because it's not actually illegal to be shitty business people, and it would be pretty hard to prove that they intended to defraud their customers.

I keep getting the virus where it redirects me to someone fake Amazon gift card giveaway. I did get through 4 pages though, where the guy is refusing to send the guy his gears or refund his money, and claims he doesn’t know how much a check was for when he deposited it (impossible). So, has the makings for a good one. I wish some actors could read the posts out loud and post it up on YouTube.

Any variety of shoulder fired long gun possessing a rifled barrel of greater than 16", to use an ATFish definition. Intrastate shipment of firearms does not require a FFL to be involved by federal law.

your right but they were still taking orders the same day they filed bankruptcy. probably while they were on the way to the courthouse. If that's not intent I don't know what is. I'm sure they won't go to jail but they should
