That's too bad! We had a tournament last year that was destroyed by wind. The lake hadn't capped yet on top of it so ice conditions were sketchy to say the least! Many many people lost their portables because they didnt anchor them and they were blown toward the open water and eventually to the other side of the lake. It took several weeks for the ice conditions to improve enough for the lodge staff to feel safe trying to retrieve them via snowmobile! They still had unclaimed portables in the spring that people never went back for. My guess is they thought they weren't slavagable.

I want one of those trailers but I’d have to get it from an auction. Not paying those second hand prices.

Randy. Apart from heating and cooling the diff, how long did the locker install take?

Watched most of that video the other day and it seems like it shouldn’t take but a few hours.

Sweet I like those old trailers I'd like to get one of the ones that's larger I think it's like 6x10 or something like that.
Amen, some people think they are impossible to get, are worth more because military, or you have to be someone special to get them driving up the prices
I saw a 5/4 ton chevy truck gor for close to 8g at an estate auction when you can get them from military auctions for under 2g

Not taking that into account, I wanna say it took about 1 hour to get the 3rd member out of the truck, 2 hours to get it taken apart, 1 hour to get the locker correctly in in place of spider gears, 2 hours to get 3rd member back together, 1 hour to get it back in truck. It still took awhile but I wasn't in any rush. I was using a punch to label all the bolts like he did, and the ring gear bolts took forever. If I could redo it, I'd mark bolt and carrier in spot #1, and then use a piece of cardboard to keep them all in place in proper orientation. It would save like 30 minutes right there.

edit: If I were you I'd start on a friday afternoon, get it torn down, get the locker in, bake the ring gear and get it back on with no bolts and let it cool overnight. Then saturday you can put it back together. That way you'll have sunday as an extra day to take care of anything that may go wrong and you're not missing work.
