I'm missing something here. You pay more so the residual value is higher? Seems to me the smarter thing to do is buy the lower priced truck if your intention is to build it yourself then invest the extra cash you have. Your mods are still worthless in terms of insurance or resale value whether you put them on a SR5 or a Pro. Unless you just like the cool factor of the pro which there is nothing wrong with, it is really money wasted to take off all the things that jack the price up except the little logos.

In an SR5, there is no Sunroof option, leather heated seats option, etc....

At the end of the day, a tricked out Pro will ALWAYS be a better value. Not to mention, each color is only made one year on a Pro. 20 years from now, there may be a lot of VooDoo Blue SR5’s and TRD OR’s, but there won’t be a lot of them in TRD Pro.

Point is, if you are buying a PRO only to gut the suspenion, you can still buy a TRD OR Premium and Tech Package for $8-10k less ($37-38k invoice over $46 pro at MSRP) that has all the same options, besides the hood scoop and aesthetics, and build a similar / more capable truck for less. The PRO only makes sense if you are keeping it stock. But hey, everyone has their own right to spend their money and justify it however they want, whether a waste of or not.

First off, the TRD OR with Premium and Tech packages are 41,000-44,000K. Not sure where you are getting the 37,000-38,000 shit from. That’s the sticker for a TRD OR without Premium and Tech.

Secondly, I don’t know anyone who has bought a Pro for the suspension only.

Third, Again, you don’t get the headlights and taillights that are on the Pro. You don’t get the Fog lights that are on the Pro. You don’t get the Skid plate that’s on the Pro. You don’t get the TRD Pro grill. You don’t get the Exhaust that’s on the Pro. You don’t get the TRD Pro badge.

I’m not sure why you are having trouble comprehending that. The ONLY thing you get with the Premium and Tech package is the leather seats, JBL and sunroof. That’s it. You act like those of us who bought a Pro are idiots and don’t know what we are doing.

Do you feel the need to repeat the exact same thing on every Pro thread around? TRD OR with Premium and Tech MSRP is much closer to Pro MSRP. Apple to orange much when you compare OR invoice with Pro MSRP, not everyone is going to get that kind of deal, especially not on a 2019 truck.

He’s probably upset he doesn’t have a Pro for some reason and try’s to project it on to us as if we are going to feel guilty we have a Pro.

I don't know... I wonder how he would react if I was going around telling every OR owner who modified their truck that they are basically idiot because they could've just bought a Pro. You get the same capable truck but with warranty coverage for about the same price than they paid with their modified suspension and all the cosmetic to have their truck look the same than a Pro. Bonus, if we change our suspension, we can sell it for much more than the stock OR one, probably to an OR owner.

Because no one pays sticker for a TRD OR, I didnt, I got mine for $36k, new in 17 fully loaded JBL/tech premium, I just got quoted $37700 for a 19 Cement same with a $41k MSRP. As opposed to the PRO which most pay sticker for.

All of those "Pro" accessories are not exclusive and can easily be acquired close to dealer cost from multiple sources here or better aftermarket options.

Never said anyone was an idiot, your money, spend it how you want. Simply stated if you are buying a PRO which is priced because of things such as the suspension, it seems silly to pay MSRP for it only to gut one of the things you paid all that money for. At the end of the day, you can buy a TRD OR with every feature a PRO has and build it for less. If you are buying a pro and building it / gutting it, you save money buying a TRD OR, period.

All points I tried to make. You buy a TRD OR with Premium and Tech, spend 3,000 on suspension, buy a TRD Pro Grill, Exhaust and Skid plate, and you have paid more than I did for a Pro.

Obviously you are missing the point. If you leave a pro alone sure it makes sense. But guess what you lose your warranty too and all that when you change out your suspension on a PRO just like the TRD. So who did better, the guy who paid less for his TRD with all the same features minus PRO stuff and modified it or the guy who paid alot more and then even more to modify his TRD PRO...

Exaclty, buying a Pro you also have the peace of mind of insurance coverage if you get into an accident, and superior resale value.

I haven’t gutted mine. I don’t plan to gut mine. And in 5 years, my truck will bring 4,000-,5000.00 more on trade than yours will. That’s fact, not fiction. And I don’t mind paying sticker. I don’t haggle the shit out of dealers like some do. Those that do are the ones that keep driving up the prices of vehicles in general. Yet, when someone try’s to haggle you, you’re offended.

I also paid $4-5k less than you did...

Again you must have missed my point because I said in my first post, the Pro makes sense if you don't gut the suspension...

    Nice comeback. You’re the man!

Why don’t you just not click on any thread that has TRD Pro? Obviously, we do not want or need to hear your rhetoric. Simple as that.
