God I want to, but bushings aren’t here yet. Plus it’s my wife’s bday so I’m spending it with her. I’ll do it on Wednesday since now it’s a holiday! I’ll do lightbar then as well.

I’ve thought about it too. Louis look into the lower valence winch bumpers too. I think there are companies that have them for the 05-11.

Edit: not trying to step on mobtown’s toes or anything. <3

As far as I know that’s the only 05-11 low profile bumper! Rest are 12-15

Pretty sure as well. Tell joe to get one going. I know a lot of people ask about them and US Off-road is the only in the market. I’d grab him one from SOS if he had a 2.5 gen.

Yep I really like that one too, but i am worried about the exposed winch drum and cable for winter. Snow and salt would get tucked in and the rust and all the shit implied with winter. The recovery bar allows to put the winch craddle in or not depending on weather. And also fit 2nd and 2.5 gen, so if I trade the truck for a DC, the bar will be reused!

Synthetic line and a winch cover. Boom! Haha.

But in all seriousness it looks like you might could fit a cover on it?

I understand where you’re coming from though. We don’t have to worry about salt unless I’m driving in 3ft of saltwater or live less than a mile from the beach (which I do neither) so rust isn’t a real issue.

Yeah I thought a lot about it lol story of my life... think twice, take twice the time to buy, miss the deal

And then, I can also get a Champion 11 000 lbs winch in a craddle, with a snatch block a a few accessories for 599$ on sale. that thing would be perfect for the recovery bar
It seems like on the 2.5 gen the winch and rope are more hidden than on the 2nd gen model. a cover could defenitely be fitted on tho, and a synthetic line is an option, but I kinda like the fact I can remove the winch if no needs, like, in 98% of the time haha and as for salt, the winch would more than useful in snowy situations lol I can be stuck with a seized winch in a snow bank haha
