    I'm also wanting to do the exact same thing. Thinking about tapping into the wiring for the factory DRL.

    Definetly possible, I’m not sure what wires to tap.
    Do it and post a walk through!!!!

    I’m totally fine with putting in the work to get them how I want it. Once I find out the triggers on the red and white wires I will do it over the weekend.

    Red and white are both positive +12v inputs.
    The only way to mimic the OEM DRL is to tap off that circuit(which is controlled through the headlight switch). Unfortunately that circuit is not present in the door, so you would have to extend the red wire through the door jamb and connect it to the DRL wire. (Not sure the location inside the cab, but there is a harness in the engine bay)
    The white wire (dimming) will always have priority Over the bright wire(red) if both are present.

    I'm lucky number 13! When I have time I'm going to install them and run wiring from the headlight DRLs. Then I'll sell my version 3s.

    @SPDGD-6 and @SumAznGuy210
    I haven't done the install yet, but I started looking into it. Both headlights have a dedicated DRL connector. I attached a pic of the driver's side headlight connector and circled it. I drew an arrow showing where the wiring goes into the headlight. I checked voltages for the wiring and both the driver and passenger side headlights are the same on the DRL harness. Black is ground, red is voltage for the bright DRL, and orange is voltage for the dim DRL. I included a pic of the meter and wiring I used to check the voltage. I also included a pic of the DRL harness and circled the white connector that goes into the DRL board inside the headlight.

    It should be simple to run wiring from each of the turn signals. Just route it through the door harness, through the firewall, and to each headlight. You just need to remove the heat shrink on each DRL harness so they can be spliced. Extra wiring can be found on Amazon. Just search for 20 AWG style 1007 wiring.

    Did this after modifying one of MESOs V3 signals with a new led strip. It can be done, but fishing through that door boot is tough. You will need to take the little nut out that holds the bar that keeps the door from flying all the way open. Then use a fairly stiff metal rod to get the wire through. The boot in the door will still have a bend to it, so just have to take your time and get it through. Good news if you have an upgraded drl board or halos, you can attach to the same driver and the power draw is fine.

    I have another set of headlights that I eventually want to get a BHLM on and I already have the Diode Dynamic boards. I guess I'll just have a spare set of drivers! Thanks for the info.
