I'm waiting for my investments to pay off so I can just retire and live off the dividends.

If I'm lucky and my plan happens to work out, I should have nothing at all to do with the Navy or DoD after March of 2020.

My dad retired from the navy after 20 years.

Never worked a single day in his life after retiring.

I’m ok with that. I just don’t want to work for the dod anymore. Except maybe a contractor who makes baller money, but I just don’t want anymore polygraphs. I hate them.

I want to give polygraphs... I'd be asking all the right questions :stirthepot:

Then you'll love the private sector. There is no stress. o_O

I just got off the phone with my boss for like 40 minutes trying to explain why I had 14 hours charged to a job that she thinks should only have been like 6. So I had to move time to another job at her request that I know don't belong there. The 14 hours were legit.

In the end the numbers at the end of the year will dictate what type of raise I will get. The sad part is, she really doesn't know how long what I do takes and the time was actually the result of cleaning up a mess in files from another department. We've both been doing this together for over 25 years so if she doesn't know by now, she never will.

Meanwhile, now I have promised this drawing to her tomorrow and if it takes me all night into the morning, I can only charge another 3 hours to it because any more and I will have to explain why it took so long. So many days go by like this and I just eat the time.

Some days I wish I worked for Taco Bell. Also, I am maxed out as far as advancement goes in my position so all I can do to justify my raises is keep adding other skills to my resume. I can barely stay ahead of the work load as it is.

I'll just wave my magic time creation wand and poof, no problem, 4 more hours in a day for me.
And don't even get me started on medical/dental/optical insurance. :boom:

    Sorry, rant over.......:D

Mike said he wants to go into the Auto Painting business when he retires from the Navy Jaime. I want to work for him. We are only offering one color though in various shades so I have my doubts we will be very successful. I'm willing to try.

I always bitch about work. Mike just got me going. I honestly think I was supposed to be rich and not work at all. I would also be a great Lazy Boy recliner and big screen tv tester. I would freakin' rule at those jobs!
