I used to do this on my 2015 a fair amount. It's pretty annoying especially since that probably can damage the t-case. I didn't have the truck long enough to see if it would cause a long term issue though.

    Well, comparatively warm today.
Probably last opportunity to ride the bike before spring. Wonder if I will get home in time... doubt it.

    Otherwise...

    Its Monday....hahaha

Got our tree Saturday morning and finished putting up the lights outside Saturday afternoon. We'll decorate the tree some night this week since it hadn't fallen enough to do it last night.

Nice. We will get our tree next week. We have the tree up 2 weeks before Christmas and 1 week after. That's enough.

BTW we always buy our tree at a local VFW around us that donates all the proceeds to local charity's (food pantries, shelters etc.) and they are reasonable priced for the trees.

I have never noticed that but will start paying attention to it. Mine blinks 4H for a second or so, then goes solid. I've never gotten on it immediately to test, I'm in the habit of just waiting to make sure it engages properly. My first 4wd vehicle had the floor shifter so I'm used to it not being a quick process.

The GMC does something similar. The dash says something like "4 wheel drive activating" or something, I need to wait until that is over before getting into it or I get a big clunk.

With my F150 I noticed that if I was moving/rolling it'd engage almost immediately, but if I was stationary (like, stuck on an incline) it'd take a second or two after the light turned on. The Ram is the same way; if I'm rolling it's instantaneous, but if I'm stationary it takes an extra second or so and I'll get a light 'clunk' when I hit the throttle.

Mine says "4x4 Shift in Progress", then lights up 4H on the screen. Seems like it takes about a second past that for it to actually shift.

It is only really a problem if I'm not moving, like yesterday I drove 40 minutes on bare pavement, then turned into a friend's driveway that was about 3" of messy slush. Started off in 2 wheel, realized it'd be a pain to climb that way, so I stopped, put it in 4WD, started moving as soon as the message went away, realized it was still in 2WD so I let off then I got the loud thud and it kicked in.

Mine had the rear locker in it, so half the time I'd just pull the 4x4 knob out and let it posi instead. Seemed like the locker engaged faster and quieter than the 4x4 did, if you were stationary.

Mine does too, though I find in a lot of situations all that does it make the back end kick way out sideways.

I used it on boat ramps; a lot of them around here aren't actually 'ramps' and are just a gravel slope into the water. I kind of missed having it this summer, but the electronic posi on the Ram does nearly as well at sorting it out.

I was watching the patriots game last night and thought they were breaking in with NFL news about another player fight.. it turned out it was just a commercial for the show empire

I liked that tribute that they'd put together for when Brady went over 1000 yards rushing...Career. Made me laugh, especially remembering that play where he actually managed to juke Urlacher
