I think FCS schools shouldn't be allowed to be scheduled.

 

Look at ND’s schedule this year. Their weakest opponent was in the MAC, and MACtion is not something to be underrated.

 

I'd agree with that. They have their own playoff, right? So....yeah, FBS only. That's a killer idea.

Oh, and just to keep the FCS humble....


The FCS champion should play the FBS champion, after the season.

 

Bruh, I live 45 minutes away from Ball State. Most of my friends from HS went to college there.


Ball State would get curb stomped by Fresno State, UCF, and may have a hard time with even The Citadel.


They are NOT good.

Here is the thing I don't necessarily like.


At some point in time, (like now) teams HAVE to go undefeated just to have a shot.

When the 4 team playoff came into the picture, that was my first concern. What if you have 5 undefeated teams? What if OU, LSU, FSU, UM and Oregon go undefeated?

They all deserve to be in...they are all P5 conference champions. They did what they were supposed to do. Then you go to the schedule, right? So Top 4 SoS and SoR, common oppenents. Shit, you have to start considering weather patterns and comparing why OU scored 60+ on Temple but Oregon only scored 58 because it was fucking raining.

 

LOL a few years ago, Ball State's QB couldn't read.

I'm saying, if you remove the scheduling of "cupcake" teams, you might as well move the playoff to P5 teams only, and have a playoff for teams that are in the "cupcake" divisions....

Just like how UCF hasn't been able to break in to the playoffs, they deserve to play for some sort of NC, if not the FBS NC.

But there are FCS schools that would beat Ball State. No problem. The top 25 in the FCS would compete with Ball State.

They’d probably compete with the bottom end of most P5 conferences as well. I guess schools like Vandy, Wake, Kansas, Northwestern, Maryland, etc.. we may as well exclude them too.

 

better numbers doesn't mean better weapons. Tua arguably has the best OL and WR core in the country at his disposal, not to mention a top 10 RB stable. That's the only reason I'd take any credit from him.
