I read a mock draft that had them taking Haskins. That’d be the dumbest damn thing they ever did other than starting their sorry string of QBs as long as they have.

I’m also not sold Grier can read a defense that well. He’s gonna have a bad time in the NFL.

 

I think you've missed the original argument. Therein the point as well.

Every team schedules cupcakes. (Ball State is a cupcake)

If we stop allowing P5 schools to schedule cupcakes, you might as well make the FBS NC only for P5 conferences...then move the playoffs to 6 teams, 5 P5 conference champs plus 1 at large.

I stated that many teams in the FCS would not only compete, but more than a handful would BEAT Ball State, thus rendering them a "cupcake" on ND's schedule.

 

I just want the Jags to get a QB....I'm a Jags fan...

The Pac-12 was hot garbage this year. The highest-ranked Pac-12 team is Washington at 9. They shouldn't be automatically entered into a 6- or 8-team playoff.

Notre Dame is going to be destroyed by Clemson and will again prove that they can't compete with elite teams, even if they manage to find a way to the championship game / playoff game.

 

HAHAHAHAHA. Isn't Yeldon there? I would think putting those two in the backfield and a couple WR's would give Bortles plenty of options and time....Hand off to Fournette or Yeldon, Dump a pass of to Fournette or Yeldon, or throw the damn ball to the WR's.


They did get rid of Allen Robinson though, right? He isn't prolific, but he was pretty steady.

 

I'd like to see Clemson and OU play and let ND fall to fourth....

 

You keep under estimating ND our qb is bette and our defense is better then when we played them with Watson and the best us by 2 at home

 

I had hoped the committee would do that, citing the conference championship as a reason to move OU ahead of ND.

I didn’t, I just don’t view Ball State as much of a cupcake as The Citadel.

Historically bad at football colleges in major conferences. But they’re SEC, so let’s rank em to float SOS/SOR

It’s one spot in an 8-team playoff. No issue with that if you’re going to pull the whole ‘conference rivalry’ debate into it.

Georgia being ranked #5 and considered #4 after that fake punt is hot garbage.. or that entire second half meltdown.

Not disagreeing that the PAC-12 wasn’t good this year, but I don’t have an issue with automatic qualifiers ala the big dance. I think the bigger issue comes down to ND playing half under the ACC and being considered independent. Tired of special rules for them.

 

didn't they also beat a common opponent with the 3rd best big 12 team by the same score?
