At the shop for a another hour or so.. then home to start on this damn thing.

Its currently on jackstands in the garage and I'm taking the wheels into the wheel shop today to have them swapped over. New wheels are stripped, primed, and lips are refinished to brushed. Going over some color samples then they should be ready by the end of the week. cant wait to see the results.

wheels are dropped off. color picked out. I should have them by the end of next week.

the wheels are lookin gooood. They did a great job refinishing them. the lips are brushed and will be matte cleared just like the copper. The copper has a little metallic flake in it, and with the matte clear, its going to look like a natural/raw copper.

Well. Tore into the pickup some more. Not really in a rush anymore since the wheels are at the shop for the next week. So have time to go at it slow.. need to anyways, as its accumulated quite a bit of grime. Fighting through that and siezed bolts has slowed me down. Need to get more pb blaster and order new wheel studs. The ones I ordered have a 12mm knurl.. and are too small.. so they won't seat. Ordering 14mm ones. Slightly diifferent in length but they will work. Just sucks I cut down the other ones and took my time cleaning them up.

Yes it does. I can’t tell, are you using the 2ah battery or the 4ah?

    Definitely not. Hahaha.

And yeah.. good guy.. but after poking around the mini a bit.. he was definitely just trying to flip it.. and wasn't the "enthusiast" he claimed to be. Lots of little things that I'm finding that we're almost "hidden". Ya know. All good tho. The bones and majority of the truck is in great shape .Mechanical issues here and there.. that's about it.

Im sure you'll get them all sorted out and cleaned up! You sound OCD like me haha.. I want everything perfect, the little things drive me crazy if I know they're not right. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right, no?

Ha sounds like we would get along just fine. It's the attention to details that make a finished product satisfying after you work your ass off on it! Cant wait to see that baby ready to roll!

I miss the mini's. Can't believe Kia never snapped there was an empty market they could have filled for some more of the poor people's money. Now even they want to be fancy but if ANYONE made a little truck, no frills , brand new. I'd look.
Even if made in India or Taiwan. (I don't know abut China).

Another set of the crown vics I have on the rear currently. Deeper lip version. Plus they are just nicer. Had them refinished and custom painted.

I hear ya! And agreed on China built.. lol
