Just wanted to post my experience so another member doesn’t have to go through what I just did, or you can, and this will maybe help your decision.
First off I opted to go with the Kbvoodoo rack because the products look like great quality, the response for every question on the forum made me think they had great customer service, and they seemed excited about their release of compatibility of their rack with the tonneau covers including the bakflip.

I asked about what type of work may need to be done or if it was possible to get their rack compatible with the bakflip via ig and they told me to sell my bed cover and get a new one. When I said that wasn’t a solution they said they would come come out with compatibility later. My questions on social media were met with short responses and what appeared to be a tone of too busy to deal with my crap. That’s fine by me, I know what it’s like to be a busy business owner, and I don’t care about service as much as I care about product. The price they asked for the rack appeared to be fair. Delivery time they said would be oct 21. I got the rack in November sometime.

The bakflip cover has to be completely disassembled if you are going to go this route. I had to take mine to a fab shop. All 4 brackets needed to be modified, the rear two needed extreme modifications since I got the long rack for the short bed. The instructions that came with the rack were awful. You might as well not buy their “compatible” brackets for the cost.

The product itself came and I had to chisel out pieces of the powder coat from where it did not meet quality control standards. I could not fit the bolts through the holes due to this.

Once I got the rack assembled from the shop, I came home to put the tent on from gofsr. The distance between the attatch rails of the tent and the pre cut slots In the kbvoodoo rack were off by about .3”. So I had fun Dremeling those out to fit. Went to ask some questions and saw that I’m blocked because I can’t find that they exist on IG now. I would say if u have a BAKFLIP bed cover do not even attempt. The $$$$ of what you spend on their rack and what you get and have to do without any instructions and piss poor quality is not worth it.

The grinding was more significant than shown in the photo. Also if you want your bakflip to regain its water tight seal which is why you probably bought it, weather stripping will be required. No big there. The pros is this rack looks good. Until you have to get up on it to look at the holes you need to cut to have your tent fit, and the brackets. For the cost , this thing should be able to turn into Optimus prime. Would not recommend.

1.Shipping: 2 weeks later than promised
    2.Instructions: flat out incomplete
3.Brackets: compatible with modification for Bakflip Cover and long rack short bed
4.Quality control: had to chisel leftover powder coat to complete assembly of the rack.
    5. Compatibility with gofsr rack:hack up and destroy the symmetry of rack required
    6.customer service: needs work

    1) If the shipping was delayed, I'm assuming you ordered from a pre-order listing. We stock everything and ship immediately 99.9% of the time.

    2) Assembly of the rack is incredibly simple. I'm not sure what we could do to the instructions to make it easier. Nobody has ever had a question about rack assembly, including you, since you never contacted us.

    3) Our BakFlip brackets work without modification to anything. Yes, you will have to remove the cover first to install our brackets.

    4) At the time our powder coater was experimenting with hanging the parts horizontally, and some powder built up on the inside corners of a few parts. It pops right out with a screwdriver and what remains will fully protect the part.

    5) I'm not sure what you actually had to modify to make GOFSR tent fit. All tents should mount directly to our racks without issue. Had you contacted us, we may have been able to assist you.

    6) In what way does our customer service need work. You never contacted us once.

How ppl get talked to on social media. Lack of response to stories. Blocking individuals. I would want to know if ppl are happy or not and make contact something is pointed out. Apologize, take notes, try to improve.

Do you think I got the normal experience of your products or services? If so good luck, if not, what went wrong here? I promise you none of what went wrong is my fault.

You knowingly sent out items with INFERIOR powder coat. Years ago I asked you about your products and got the same line about how you just got a new powder coater. I'm sorry but when are you going to stop blaming other people. It's your product and you knowingly send out this stuff. You will never get a DIME from me.

I'm no fan of KB Voodoo's products or their (history of) excuses for shit quality, but judging a company by their lack of participation in social media is silly at best. People have better things to do - like running companies and making things - than sitting on Instagram and "responding to stories." First point of contact should always be email for a concise, easy to follow paper trail, and convenience for all parties involved. Failing that, phone calls tend to resolve problems pretty good. Contacting via Instagram "stories" is waaaay at the bottom of that list.

It’s so far at the bottom of the list they block the ppl for pointing it out, to where they can’t send them a message for further conversation.

I thought the bakflip brackets were experimental and voodoo hasn't fully research and developed them. Were they sold to you @Colemillermma ? Sounds like alot of time, funds and energy was wasted by the consumer here.

Unrelated but I love watching you fight Cole :fistbump:

I struggled with this for months. Decided to keep my Truxedo Titanium un-modded and went with a Prinsu. There is currently no bedrack that works with a hard tonneau. End of story.

Putting a RTT on the Prinsu.

Also never had any issues with the assembly. That was str8 to the point. Just the install. Since there was 0 aid for that. Brackets did not fit properly. Period.

I think this could easily be settled in the cage.

I recently had an technical issue ordering from a companies website (company will remain anonymous) during the black Friday sale. This was during the long Thanksgiving weekend and you could be sure no one was going to be at the office or even answering emails. However they WERE on their Instagram page dealing with customers concerns. Vital for any business in today's world. It sounds like there was in fact some communication here between the parties via social media. How was there no follow up?

I prefer to judge what is being said, not how it’s said, or by whom it’s being said by.
