    Easier maybe, but I really don't like the fact that the truck ends up not properly supported using that technique.

    At least with the tool, you can point the spring/tool in a safe direction.

    Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
    It definitely has its advantages and disadvantages

    Not sure if you're still looking but I brought my truck to my buddy's shop. Pretty biased since he's my friend and he lets me use his shop for everything I need but definitely worth checking out. The wall mounted spring compressor came in clutch when installing the top hats onto my 6112's.
