Either get a plug in charger and get the sites with power or get a solar blanket you just hook up to the battery as a trickle charger .

Peter just did away with his solar cause it's a pain lol

If I end up doing solar I'll do the blanket and just put it out where I need it
I have the same charger as Peter . At the trailer sometimes we need more fridge space so I just bring mine and leave it in the truck . And plug in the aux battery to be safe

EMT and rigid are different wall thickness and you have to consider those shoes are based on the outer diameter of a 2” internal diameter pipe . So the outer is usually 3/8" larger than the ID for emt and upwards of 5/8 for rigid. All of which don't usually correspond with DOM tubing or any sort of tubing you'd use for said applications . If this worked I would be doing it for everyone has as I work with those benders daily .

And those shoes have a set radius .You can't get tight 90 degree bends . Take a 2" Emt 90 for example has a radius of 18" roughly

Muffler shop will be the same case.

All the desert runners etc that need to worry about over extending run limit straps for a reason lol .

I've priced it out too it's under $400 and expo points cause you can run a tmr limit strap hahaha

Think outside the box and you'll be amazed what you can do with a 555, or a segment bender (885) , I agree you won't get a tight radius bend with a 555 or a 777 bender. But in most cases you don't want a real tight radius anyways. Lol I may not use these benders daily, but I have used them for more than EMT and Rigid. :)

The exhaust benders do have tighter radii on their mandrels though.

A "blue wrench" (oxy-acet torch) can also work wonders.

I think Princess Auto has a cheap tubing bender which is like a segment bender.

    Speaking of benders...

I'd love to get one of these. Lol

Handy for both electrical and automotive. :)

You can but it actually destroys the shoes . Even just using a EMt shoe on rigid it vice versa fucks it up.

And if you don't have the exact size shoe you'll get flat spots or kinks in the pipe .

The princess auto idea would be much better.

Segment Bender might be able to be used slightly but 555 not a good idea

Yeah, princess auto has a tube bender. Onsale for $600 and can do up to 2” and even then i have to bolt it to my floor etc. Id rather just pay someone $200 to bend the tubes for my bumpers amd move on. Maybe if i ever get a bigger garage ill add that to my collection but other than bumpers I dont see much use for me

This is the bumpstop in question was talking about. The UCA there is hitting the coil and there's about 1" of space at the bump. I was planning to cut the bump in the middle and welding a piece to extend it.

Yeah. That seems like your only option. It would better to weld a bolt so you can make it adjustable. This way instead of cutting it each time you need to adjust you could put spacers and fine tune it.

Also I have stock bumps so if you want to even use some spacers and the stock bumps your good to go. Thread right in.

The adjustment sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of seeing if the rubber cap on there can be removed and then maybe tap a hole and add a bumpstop with bolt instead of welding.

Could do that as well. Another option is weld a thicker plate, tap it and then proceed to bolt. Like I said if you need bunps I have.

This is why limit strap is easier . The clevis is adjustable usually 1.5"

Yeah. And can unbolt and change straps. Just hard to account for stretch.
