I recently added a lift to my 2018 tacoma TRD pro. My lift included; King 2.5 front coilovers and rear adjustable shocks, ome Dakar leaf pack and some total chaos uca’s. Before the lift, I added some 285/75/16 tires on some scs f5’s. It drove just fine. A little heavier feel in the steering but that’s expected. After my lift I got some vibrations in the steering wheel from 24mph to 30. Feels like I’m driving on the rumble strip or a rough road and instantly thought I needed a carrier bearing spacer. I ordered one up and went to install it only to realize the shop that did my install had already added one. Oops! So I did more research on this site and some Facebook groups and seems it’s likely the needle bearing and I should swap in the ecgs bushing. I ordered that up and also had my wheels and tires rebalanced in the mean time just to rule that out and they were just fine. Today I had the bushing installed and the vibration is still there. No better, no worse. I’m at a loss to what this could be. Any ideas??

Are you running shims? Most use a 3 degree shim with the Dakars.

I have the exact same set up on my TRD Pro. No shims or ecgs bushings. 20k miles no issues. Have you rotated the tires or tried putting the stock wheels on?

As others said, CB drop, ECGS bushing AND 3* shim. That’s what I run in my 17 OR and I have no vibes and a smooth ride

If you have the ECGS bushing then you likely need 3 degree shims. I bought the $35 Toytec ones because they come with replacement bolts

I sold those after installing my new wheels and tires. I haven’t rotated the wheels and tires but did have them rebalanced.

@Mistaken hey man I have 2.5 degree shims sitting in my garage, they’re brand new - I ended up not needing them for my Dakar pack. You’re welcome to have them just reimburse me for whatever it costs to ship them. I’m guessing a flat rate envelope would be pretty cheap.

Good luck with the vibes either way.

Edit: they’re from headstrong off-road if that matters...

It's most likely a drive angle issue, for $10 you could buy an angle finder and check your angles.

This is how I fixed my drive line angles on my 1978 Land Cruiser FJ40.

To Determine the angle difference you will need a magnetic angle finder, from Lowe's for under $10

    E-brake angle reading

    Do the math
    [IMG]

Use shims to correct the angle

Place shims above or bellow leaf springs according to your truck configuration and you're done

You might want to take it to 4 wheel parts. My wife had hers lifted 6 inches by 4 wheel parts and there is no vibration and it rides like Cadillac but she also has 20” wheels and Toyo 35s
