What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Hello all! I am new to the website and to the Tacoma. I wanted to add some pics of my new taillights I just installed today.

The OEM bed mat is one of the best purchases that I have ever made.

 

Got Clazzio Seat Covers installed, and blackout kit put on. Waiting in my new delrin shift knob so come in and should be ordering a diamondback cover after the holidays. Would also like to get the blacked out border for the grill.

cementJay, I would be extremely grateful if you could point me in the direction of where to find the blacked out grille surround. Tacoma badges also if it's not too much of a hassle.

Just picked up the new Weathertech Alloy Cover and RekGen XL mud flaps. Will post pictures soon.

 

Very nice. If mine was 4x4 I would copy that setup. Looks great.

 

Washed the Pro! Then bought it a project Jeep! The Jeep is just a toy, something to work on!

Installed Xpel PPF on the bumper, fenders, hood, headlights and mirrors. Tinted all windows including windshield with their new ceramic window film.

 

So much done since first posted pic but I just got the new grill on.

 

Do they offer different colors for the letters or are they all in white?

 

Not a good day. I figure someone has made the same mistake I did today.

In preparation of getting my BHLM headlights from motorsport36 (finally) I wanted to get started tonight. I used the following video to guide me with removal of lights. BEWARE for those who have not tried this. At the 2:30 mark in video, they make it look so easy to loosen the bumper!

I tried to follow their technique and the whole back plate came with it.

I was able to release the bottom part , BUT THAT PLASTIC PLATE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO COME WITH THE BUMPER. IF YOU CONTINUE PULLING THE TOP, YOU WILL SNAP THE PLATE ATTACHED WHERE THE BOLT IS CONNECTED TO THE HEADLIGHT.

With my run of bad luck it snapped the plastic ON THE HEADLIGHT!



I think I’ll be able to salvage the plates with superglue hopefully.



So the trick seems to be to release the 3 tabs along edge of front bumper

This is from left side. You can see rectangular notch behind red plug ( this is the lowest part).

If this helps one person I’ll feel better.

UPDATE 12/5/18: THANKS TO @20tacoma17, HE HELPED ME FIND THE PLASTIC PLATES ON AMAZON. SET FOR AROUND $50. *** THESE ARE NOT OEM. I WAS SURPRISED TO GET OEM FROM DEALER FOR $60/set!
