Oh yeah... and the breathers. If they may be clogged, I'm not sure how to check those. Do they twist off?

    .....hey ...tip here....

use sealant specifically for headlights, looks like plumbers putty

do not use generic or roofing silicone....

the reason is: silicones outgas and that can smear and smog up the reflective surfaces and also the inside of the plastic lens. over time it becomes perma-smogged...if enough silicone vapors actually get inside there....

I used "Permatex" RTV Silicone. Seems to work well on other stuff Ive sealed. I only used it on the back of the headlight cover and where the clear case come together. So I didnt use any on the lens itself. I may just put a little piece of clear tape on my drilled hole.

Thanks for the info on the headlight sealant. Ill keep an eye out for that.

None of this worked. Resealed the headlight with a lot of silicone for a second time. Still lots of condensaton. I'm gonna quit fooling around with this and get a new headlight. Bought an aftermarket one on ebay. It was junk and returned it. Gonna have to throw down for an OEM. Don't want to wast any more time on this.

I know this sounds stupid, but are you letting the housing completely dry out before re-sealing? (like removing your head light bulb and parking so the sun is heating the headlight)

Sucks. Hopefully a new headlight will work for you.

Swapped out the passenger headlight today. Away with the fishtank light!! I got from Auto Anything. Good price for aftermarkets and look just like OEM. Even fit well, not perfect but well. A little gap between the hood and rubber seal. Off just a bit. Unnoticeable enough to roll with it. We'll see how they hold up to scratching and condensation??

I got away with not having to take the bumper off and took me about 2 hours to do. Pretty straight forward.

Thanks for everyones help and advice. TW:bananadance:

I had the same issue I bought headlights and just install them yesterday and the very next day had tons of moisture residue inside the headlight assembly. How did buy a cheap set of Lem lights from Autolightsbulbs.com $88 for both! It seems that this is you can happen with any headlights not necessarily just the cheap ones. I think I found an easy solution without having to bake them or take much apart.

I remove my headlight assembly and bought some outdoor RTV adhesive at the auto parts store and sealed from the back. If you press against the clear part and the base and squeeze the tube you can see it Go in between and fill the gap. I removed as much water in the headlight as I could by shaking it around. Now for the complete dry out I removed my parking light bulb and I'm going to run with my headlights on for a day I've had it on for about 20 minutes now it has cleared up moisture significantly.

i bought a set of headlights off ebay and rtvd them before even installing them and still got condensation. turns out there were these little plastic caps over the vents on the back of the housing, so i removed those and no problems since.

I have a set of OEM headlights sitting in my garage that I'll give you (free) but I'll ask that you pay for shipping. They are not perfect but I never had any issues with moisture. I replaced them to go with a different look (black housings instead of chrome look). If you want pictures just PM me. I'll be happy to help.

Have the same problem...but sealed with silicone BEFORE putting them in. 6 months later, condensation in replacement headlight, again in passenger side (had condensation in original passenger headlight prior to replacement.) Do you think I should just hit the seal with a stronger silicone??

There's probably just a micro-hole somewhere that's still letting moisture in. Frustrating, but as long as the moisture isn't building up in the headlight too much it should evaporate quickly when parked facing the sun (even in winter).
